Yes, we met the way you typically met people in a university city in 2017... Tinder!

December 2016 Brandon was visiting a friend that lived in Westdale near McMaster University. Robyn's student house also happened to be in Westdale. They matched, and started getting to know each other.

Brandon was a huge flirt, Robyn was skeptical of every person on the app. Brandon was very charming (still is), and after a week or so of talking he asked Robyn out on a date to go Christmas shopping. She was in the middle of exams and told him "Maybe, we'll see how busy I am."

The day of their date came, Robyn (overwhelmed in schoolwork) ignored all of Brandon's texts, and only decided to reply when he sent her a VERY sassy

"ok, guess were not going lol."

She lost it on him, saying "I'm not going on a date with some guy when I have to study for exams, you don't come before my education, ever."

They stopped talking then for a while.

But, Brandon says he knew something was there. He let her cool down, then a few weeks later, they started chatting again. Robyn called Brandon after a mutual night out at the bar (him in Burlington, her in Hamilton). As he was sitting with his closest friends in Montforts restaurant, he sees Robyn calling him, and answers the phone:

"Hey baby."

Smooth. Very smooth. Also his friends who had zero idea look at him saying “who the hell is he talking to?”

Their first date was at Second Cup, and a couple weeks later they began officially dating on January 21st, 2017.

Robyn moved in with Brandon when she graduated university in 2019.

Theyve had many years of laughter and joy, and they currently give all their love to their bulldog Pax.

On their 6-year anniversary on January 21st, 2023, Brandon got down on one knee and asked Robyn to spend the rest of their lives together.

They are getting married Saturday, October 26th, 2024!!!
