OKC and Dallas Airports are both 2 hours from Tishomingo. OKC is a much smaller airport, traffic is pretty minimal. Dallas DFW Airport is large (Love Field is smaller if you are flying Southwest) and Dallas Traffic is a handful! If the price is better, I would choose OKC!

Towns: Tishomingo, Madill (25 mins away), Kingston/Lake Texoma/Durant (35-40 mins away). Avoid Ardmore. Tishomingo does not have any chain hotels; all places to stay here are AirBNB (cheaper option) and Boutique Hotels such as The Mulberry, Stay Golden Inn, Pennington Inn, Cedar Stone Bed and Breakfast. Madill is safe and has a Best Western along with a few other chain hotel options!
