It all started with a first date at Trophy Room in Boston. There was an immediate spark as they enjoyed conversation, laughs, and of course a few vodka sodas. At the end of the date Brandon jokingly told Gary “Don’t ghost me!” and they followed through with more dates. They enjoyed dinner, drinks, coffee, concerts and more as the months went by and eventually fell in love.

After a couple years Gary and Brandon moved in to an apartment together. It took a lot of convincing, but Gary finally got Brandon to agree to getting a pug puppy and that’s how Scooter came into their lives. A puppy came with new challenges, but Gary and Brandon quickly learned how great of a team they were. Scooter brings so much joy and happiness to their lives and it’s safe to say Brandon is a pug person now!

Gary and Brandon found the perfect house, and naturally the next step would be to talk marriage. There was one complication— who was going to propose? Both argued they should be the one proposed to because they were a “prize” and they found themselves in a stalemate. Then they came up with the perfect plan. The couple went into the city and picked out their rings and popped into Trophy Room for a vodka soda (for old times sake) and began planning their vacation. They went to California and on June 10, 2022 the two put their rings on in a beautiful garden surrounded by roses. Instead of the pressure of a surprise proposal, Gary and Brandon planned it in advance and surprised their family and friends with the news!

Gary and Brandon look forward to spending the rest of their lives together with their partner in crime Scooter, and are interested in beginning the adoption process to become parents. They are excited to get married and enjoy the special day with family and friends. It’s going to be a party!
