- Emma was born in Brandon's home town of Harlan, IA. Then moved not long after to the Dayton, IA area
- Brandon's dad Tim and Emma's Dad Mark both went to college at Northwestern at the same time and didn't know it
- Emma and Brandon both worked at Bayer but never really spoke to each other
- Brandon bought his first house in Emma's hometown of Dayton, IA
- Brandon and Emma's first vacation together was a 2 week long trip, which included driving through 9 states, a 32 mile hike on the Continental Divide Trail, 6 National Parks, all but 3 nights tent camping, riding on a Ferry Boat, and this is just the beginning of many more vacations like it
- Brandon found his forever hunting buddy. Emma enjoys going hunting with Brandon, learning more about the sport, and being alongside him while he does what he loves
- Brandon grew up with horses and even showed his own. Emma is very passionate about horses. She took lessons for 7 years and worked in a horse barn for 4. She is very thankful to have found her lifelong riding partner
- Brandon and Emma planted avocado seeds when they first started dating. They are thriving and in 10 years should produce fruit
