Our Story

Picture of Our Story

On May 29th, 2016, while on the verge of graduating high school, we were both “invited” to join a double date to Olive Garden. Although both of us were too scared to speak much, it somehow went well enough that phone numbers were exchanged via Facebook Messenger and it’s been quite the journey ever since.

That summer of 2016, we spent lots of time getting to know each other and enjoyed some fun dates that included getting to force Liz to sit through the Conjuring II. On July 8th, 2016 we became an official couple when Brandon decided to ask Liz through text message since he was too nervous to ask in person.

As that first summer ended, we were both excited and eager to begin growing independently and together throughout our experiences at Springfield College and Framingham State University. 68 miles separated us and sometimes it felt like 68,000. With nightly FaceTime calls and frequent weekend visits/adventures, we both supported and pushed each other to combat some of our toughest challenges. As hard as being away from each other was, we knew our commitment and dedication to better ourselves would only make our relationship stronger.

Through it all, we both completed our degrees and were ready to take on the next challenges of life together. Not even a worldwide pandemic could slow us down in our pursuit to better ourselves as we both landed jobs that allowed us to commit and settle at our first apartment in North Billerica. It wasn’t much, but it was exactly what we needed in order to take our lives to the next level (and deal with each other’s quirks).

On New Year’s Eve of 2021, we went on a planned trip to Foxwoods Casino to celebrate Liz’s birthday. We ice skated, played slots, and enjoyed a unregretful meal at the Sugar Factory. What Liz didn't know was that Brandon had a much bigger surprise planned. As the time approached midnight, Brandon continuously insisted to go outside to enjoy the holiday lights and spend time reflecting on the past 5 years together as a couple. When the countdown began, the New Year of 2022 was celebrated with a cheer, a kiss, and Brandon falling to his knee and asking Liz to be his "best friend forever."

Almost two years since our engagement, we have continued to grow and love each other more with each passing day. We have since upgraded to a more comfortable and spacious apartment in Lowell where we could also achieve a prolonged goal as a couple and got a corgi together (Named Elvis after Brandon’s favorite musician). Throughout all of the ups and downs, we have always felt so supported, blessed, and grateful for not only each other but for our close friends and family who have helped us in countless ways. Our lives would not be possible without you all.

As we approach our 8th year anniversary and our big day of October 19, 2024, we want to share just how excited and appreciative we are to celebrate us and all the memories we have made with the people we love and cherish the most. Thank you for being a part of our journey and we look forward to celebrating with you.

Love,

Brandon & Liz
