Allie’s story

I met Brandon in Starkville, MS on September 2nd, 2022. We had connected on social media thanks to a few mutual friends. We met for dinner at Georgia Blue, a restaurant in Starkville.

Fun backstory! I went to Mississippi State University for my undergrad. I lived in Starkville from August 2016 through December 2019. If you know me, you know how much I love MSU and Starkville! Brandon also moved to Starkville around the same time I did for his job and he was also a huge State fan. Never once did our paths cross during that time. How crazy! We joke with each other all the time and say we probably were at the same place at the same time because we would reference an event we went to during that period, and several of them were the same.

Fast forward to September 2nd, 2022 and the rest is history! I knew from the moment I set down at dinner, that something was truly special about him. I told my family after our first date that I couldn’t exactly put my finger on it yet, but that I just knew Brandon was someone special. It did not take me long to fall head over heels for him! Every weekend we got to spend together, whether it was an MSU game, playing golf, or spending time with our families, I never wanted the weekend to end. I loved every moment with him! When he finally told me he loved me (I had been waiting for it), I never said I love you too back so fast in my life. I honestly got a little embarrassed. He just grinned and said, “You were ready for me to say that, weren’t you”.

I shared with Brandon early on that I had lost my dad to cancer back in 2020 and how hard that had been and still was for me. I was the biggest daddy’s girl and I thought he hung the moon! Little moments and times Brandon and I shared would render my thoughts often and how I wished my dad could have met Brandon. I had always heard that a lot of the time girls pick their partner who reminded them a lot of their dad and I never thought that was true for me until I met Brandon. And MAN does he remind me of my daddy! The way he is so patient with me guides me and loves me is just a tiny glimpse of how I get to remember his memory through him. That’s when I knew God had handpicked Brandon just for me! I am truly grateful for God’s faithfulness in my path to get to Brandon and how I get to love this man for the rest of my life!

Brandon’s story

I got the opportunity to meet Allie back in September 2022, and since then we have never looked back. We instantly connected over our love for Mississippi State sports.
As we continued to hangout we continued to connect and find out we have so many similar hobbies. Such as sporting events, hunting, fishing, and traveling. Ha, and now golf thanks to me!! As we began spending our weekends together, I knew early on that Allie was the one. As Phil Robertson said, “Find you woman that carries a bible, can cook, and pick your ducks.” Well, I’m no duck hunter but Allie does 2 out of 3 and loves to hunt, so I think I got a good one there! Ha, in all seriousness I couldn’t be happier with Allie, and life with her continues to get greater every day. I am so happy that we love each other for who we are, and I am grateful she sees the qualities of her father in me. I know he has one of the best seats in the stadium as he watches our life story. I can’t wait to continue to watch our lives grow, and I can’t wait to have you with me right by my side the whole way! I love you, see you at the altar honey!
