Our 2nd Date to Snoquera Falls

We met the old-fashioned way—online! Thanks to Match.com, our paths crossed. On April 24, 2022, we met for the first time over drinks, ending the night with a sweet goodnight kiss. The very next morning, life threw us a curveball—Carlanna came down with COVID. Oddly enough, it turned into a blessing. We spent hours on the phone every day that week, talking, laughing, and getting to know each other before we could meet again. That time created a deeper connection right from the start. Once Carlanna recovered, our first real adventure together was a hike to Snoquera Falls—and from there, everything fell into place. We quickly fell in love and filled our lives with adventures: camping in our RV, staying in historic fire lookouts, exploring new states, and taking countless road trips. Over the years, we’ve explored everywhere from Maui to Mexico and so many beautiful places in between. Whether we were lounging on a beach, wandering through new towns, or chasing sunsets on the road, we found joy in every journey we shared. Washington remained the heart of our story. From mountain trails and hidden lakes to wineries, dance events, concerts, and cheering on the Mariners and Seahawks, the Pacific Northwest has been where our best memories live. And no place has captured our hearts quite like Mount Rainier—majestic, grounding, timeless. It’s the backdrop to so many of our favorite days and now the place where we can’t wait to say “I do.” And then came the biggest adventure yet. On September 8, 2025, Carlanna was invited to throw out the first pitch at a Mariners game. As if that moment wasn’t magical enough, Brandon surprised her by proposing right there on the field. It was unforgettable—one of the most special days of our lives. We are beyond excited to continue our journey together, with Mount Rainier standing witness as we begin this next chapter—filled with love, laughter, travel, and a lifetime of adventures.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by June 1, 2026 so we can finalize our plans with the venue and vendors. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to accommodate responses after this date.

What time should I arrive?

Please plan to arrive at the Mt. Rainier Gondola between 3:00 and 3:30 PM to allow time to reach the summit by 4:00 PM for the ceremony. The gondola can get busy—please don’t wait until the last minute. Late arrivals may not be able to board and will miss the ceremony.

Are kids invited?

This is an adults-only celebration. We love your little ones, but we kindly request no children at the ceremony or reception.

How do we get to the ceremony?

All guests will ride the Mt. Rainier Gondola to the mountaintop ceremony site. Your gondola ticket is included—simply check in at the base and enjoy the ride! The ceremony is accessible only by gondola. Parking is available at the gondola base area, though we recommend arriving early for the best spots.

Where should we stay?

For everyone’s comfort and safety, we encourage guests to stay on-site at Crystal Mountain. With an open bar and remote mountain roads, it’s much easier—and safer—to spend the night close by.We’ve secured room blocks at Quicksilver Lodge, Village Inn and Silver Skis Chalet, each only steps from the gondola and reception. Room blocks fill quickly, so we recommend booking early for the best availability. Please visit the Accommodations page for full details.

Is the ceremony outdoors?

Yes! The ceremony will take place at the Mt. Rainier Platform, a beautiful mountaintop location with sweeping views. Temperatures at the summit can be cooler than at the base, so please dress comfortably for changing mountain weather.

What Should I wear for the Wedding?

We recommend elevated mountain cocktail attire—stylish, dressy, and comfortable for an outdoor mountaintop setting. Mountain weather can change quickly, so think elegant but practical. The ceremony platform isn’t heel-friendly, so we suggest wedges, block heels, or dressy flats. (Cowboy boots are always encouraged!)

What if I have heights or mobility concerns?

The Mt. Rainier Gondola is fully enclosed, smooth, and climate-controlled, with a scenic 15-minute ride to the summit. The gondola and ceremony platform are accessible for most guests with mobility needs. If you’re nervous about heights or require additional assistance, please reach out to us in advance—we’re happy to help make sure you’re comfortable and supported.

What happens after the ceremony?

Following the ceremony, guests are welcome to linger at the summit and enjoy the breathtaking 360° views from the top of Crystal Mountain. It’s a great time to wander the ridge, take photos with Mount Rainier, breathe in the fresh alpine air, or simply relax before riding the gondola down for the reception.

What’s the reception location?

The reception will be held at the Mountain Commons Lodge, located just steps from the base of the Mt. Rainier Gondola. Join us for dinner, drinks, and dancing, which will begin shortly after guests return from the summit.

We recommend booking a room at Quicksilver Lodge, The Village Inn or Silver Skis Chalet. All are within a short walking distance of the Mt. Rainier Gondola and the Mountain Commons reception venue.

Located just 150 yards from the gondola, it offers true slope-side convenience — an easy walk through the parking lot brings you directly to the Mt. Rainier Gondola. Crystal Mountain sits close to the Sunrise entrance of Mount Rainier National Park, the highest drive-up point in the park. Popular nearby stops include Tipsoo Lake for iconic photos and several scenic hiking trails with incredible glacier views.
