Allison and Brant first met in March of 2023, though their first date didn’t happen right away. After a hailstorm forced them to reschedule, they finally went axe throwing at the end of April. Not long after that date, Allison prayed for a sign that Brant was the one, specifically asking God to show her with flowers. On their next date, Brant brought flowers, not knowing he had just answered that prayer.
From the start, their conversations came easy, talking about faith, family, dreams, and what they wanted for the future. On their third date, they went bowling and out for ice cream. Brant kissed Allison at the end of the night. It surprised her at first and she instinctively pulled back, but there was something there that felt meant to be.
A week later, Allison moved to Wichita for work. Once she got settled, Brant came to visit, and on that day, June 13, 2023, he officially asked her to be his girlfriend.
That summer was full of time with friends and family, dinner dates, rock climbing, and many more adventures. By early 2024, things changed when Allison took a promotion in California and Brant became a Journeyman Lineman. Long distance wasn’t easy, but they never questioned their relationship. They took turns visiting each other, exploring San Francisco on his first trip out, and later celebrating their one-year anniversary with a guided climbing trip in Yosemite to turn a favorite Wichita date into a real adventure.
That fall, Brant was sent to help with hurricane recovery, and in the middle of the chaos, he found a property listing that caught their eye. They put in an offer, and the day, Brant flew Coast to Coast to visit Allison after the hurricane, They found out the offer was accepted. By December, they closed on the house and Brant and his family got to work renovating.
In February 2025, Allison left her job in California to move back home and start their life together. She started a new job in March, and by April, the house was ready for them to move into.
On June 2, 2025, Brant proposed in their dining room, getting down on one knee during a prayer before dinner, a sweet moment they’ll never forget. As they began planning their wedding, they realized their three-year dating anniversary falls on a Saturday, making June 13, 2026, the perfect day to get married.
They’ve built a relationship on faith, trust, and a lot of laughter, and they’re so excited to start the rest of their lives together.
