Our Wedding

We're&nbsp;just&nbsp;two&nbsp;college&nbsp;sweethearts&nbsp;that&nbsp;met&nbsp;on&nbsp;February&nbsp;15th,&nbsp;2017. Our first date was&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;Houston&nbsp;Zoo and we both&nbsp;made&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;late&nbsp;for&nbsp;class&nbsp;because&nbsp;we talked for hours.&nbsp;After&nbsp;a&nbsp;long&nbsp;journey&nbsp;of&nbsp;accomplishments,&nbsp;flowers,&nbsp;and&nbsp;a&nbsp;lot&nbsp;of&nbsp;amazing&nbsp;food,&nbsp;we're&nbsp;tying&nbsp;the&nbsp;knot&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;final&nbsp;Sunday&nbsp;of&nbsp;March&nbsp;in&nbsp;2021!

"Hmm, how did I meet the bride? We were just starting middle school and I had just moved to Texas. I didn’t know anyone at the time. I accidentally ended up at the wrong bus stop and noticed Emily waiting for the school bus too. I said to myself, “she looks friendly”. As we became friends, I remember being oh so lucky to sit by Emily after her 7th period track class when she was all sweaty from running. Many bus rides and years later she continues to be my best friend. "

"How did I meet the beautiful bride? Well let’s see ... we met at the start of middle school 6th grade. We are both Emily and our last names both begin with an A so it was an easy mix-up that we got each other’s class schedule. At the time I had no idea I was about to meet someone that would mean so much to me for years to come. I remember finding her and her mom to switch our schedules and we quickly discovered we had so many classes together, and that made me feel better to know that I at least was going to know one person. From that moment on, the beautiful bride-to-be Emily became one of my best friends and nothing has changed between us since.  Countless memories have been made over the years and I am honored to be a part of my best friend’s special day. "

"Emily and I went to high school together, but became close during our first year of college at the University of Houston. I still remember all of our late night talks that consisted of us gossiping about the latest college drama, which usually ended with us either in tears from laughing too hard or Emily passed out on my bed at 3 am. While our friendship has been full of jokes and laughter, it has also been one full of life lessons and growth. Watching her transform into a beautiful, confident, and graceful young woman has been one of the best highlights of our friendship. She has always loved her friends and family unconditionally and graciously, so I am very happy to know that she gets to experience that same gracious love from Brayden. I am so excited to be beside Emily on her big day and be apart of her and Brayden’s wonderful journey."

"Emily has been one of my closest friends ever since high school. From not paying attention in calculus AP to eventually being a bridesmaid at her wedding, I couldn’t have imagined going through college without her by my side. Some of my favorite memories come from sophomore year at UH when we roomed together. We could never go to sleep on time because we would talk and make dumb jokes until we had to get up for class. I would’ve never thought that the random girl from my PACE class freshman year, telling me about how she bought a phone just because it came with the Avatar movie, would be my college roommate and a great friend today."

"One sentence is pretty much impossible to sum it all up. I guess the shortest and most simple way is to say that we grew up together and Abiding Savior is where we met, but we got to know each other by sharing a lot of those early experiences together from boy scouts to sleep overs at each others houses, playing all kinds of old video games, and running all around the neighborhood together. But thats like almost a paragraph lol shoot man we've got way too much history from when we were kids at your old house. I'd drive by it every once in a while and just think about all the memories and sh*t we have from there and Davis Hayford and everything good times man."
