Our Wedding

Our story starts in 2022, when we were set up on a semi-blind date by Josh’s friend and classmate, who was rotating in Bre’s office. Now, almost 4 years later, we are ready to say, “I do!” We both work full time as physician assistants, and we are living together in our home in Newaygo. It is an understatement to say we are busy people. We both run and weight lift routinely, signing up for races throughout the year. We also love to spend time on the water, whether that be boating with family and friends, sitting at the beach, or going out paddle boarding. We enjoy going hiking and backpacking as well. We also are very fortunate to be able to travel often, both in the country and out. When we are home, we tend to spend time in the kitchen or on the back deck using our Blackstone. With busy weeks, we really try to meal prep, as we both prefer home cooked meals over take out food. We hope that when you see our registry, our story is well reflected on our list of items. A lot of our kitchen items have been passed on from our parents, found at Goodwill, or have been used for several years, and are ready to be retired finally as we start this new chapter together. We look forward to seeing you all on our wedding day!

For those flying in to Michigan: The closest airports include Gerald R. Ford in Grand Rapids, Muskegon County Airport in Muskegon and Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City. You will need to rent a car to get to Ludington.

The Evening Before: Following our rehearsal dinner, we will be having welcome drinks with any family or friends that come in to town Friday evening. It will be at Jamesport Brewing Company. We should be all wrapped up with dinner around 7:30 for those who would like to join us at that time.

Travel

Ludington State Park, situated between the 5,000-acre Hamlin Lake and 7 miles of sandy Lake Michigan shoreline, features scenic sand dunes, three campgrounds, the iconic Big Sable Point Lighthouse, 21 miles of marked trails and more. A 1-mile stretch of the Big Sable River runs through the park and provides excellent opportunities for fishing, paddling and tubing. Reach the iconic Big Sable Point Lighthouse via a 1.8-mile (one-way) sand-and-gravel Lighthouse Path, accessible by foot or bike. While the path offers little shade and can be challenging, especially in warm weather, the reward is a breathtaking view of Lake Michigan.
