Because of that, we are not expecting any presents—your effort and love are more than enough.If you still feel like you’d like to mark the occasion, we’ll have a card box on the day for any well-wishes.

As much as we’d love to celebrate with absolutely everyone, we have chosen to have a child-free wedding day, with just our three flower girls attending as children, and only partners named on the invitation. That said, we’d absolutely love for you all to make a holiday out of it! Bring the family, explore New Zealand, and catch up with us before or after the big day. We especially hope to see you all at the Sunday recovery brunch on April 4th

Flights

Wanaka's closest airport is Queenstown located in the south-west of New Zealand's South Island. We recommend flying in two days before the wedding to avoid potential wind or weather delays. Flights are available from Brisbane and Gold Coast airport with various airlines (Qantas, Virgin, Jetstar, Emirates, and Air New Zealand) to suit all budgets. Flights will become available for guests to purchase independently 11 months prior to the wedding date

Passports

Make sure you apply for a passport no later than two months before departure date! For those who already hold a passport, please ensure it is valid with at least six months validity remaining from the intended travel date. Find more information at https://www.passports.gov.au/

Travel

Transport to Venue

Return transport will be provided for guests on Saturday, 3 April 2027, from a central location in Wanaka to the wedding venue. The exact pick-up spot and time will be confirmed closer to the date; however it will be somewhere central and easy to access within Wanaka. If you would like to use this free transport option, please RSVP by 3 January 2027. Please note: Guests are responsible for arranging their own transport from their arrival destination to Wanaka.For those who prefer to drive themselves, parking will be available at the venue.

Hire Car or Van

Wanaka is a 1 to 1.5-hour drive from Queenstown. Car or van hire is the most efficient way of travel around New Zealand's South Island. We recommend Ezi Car Rentals, Hertz, Budget, and Go Rentals for car hire. For van and motorhome hire, Britz and Jucy are great options

Please note that daylight saving ends on Sunday, 4 April 2027 At 3:00 am, clocks will be turned back one hour to 2:00 am local standard time. As a result, sunrise and sunset will occur one hour earlier than the previous day. This means more light in the morning and less light in the evening.

During late March to early April, Wanaka experiences mild and comfortable autumn temperatures. Daytime highs typically range from 17°C to 22°C, while evenings and early mornings can be cooler, dipping to around 5°C to 10°C

Precipitation

This period generally sees moderate rainfall, with the occasional passing shower. While it’s not the wettest time of year, it’s wise to be prepared for brief periods of rain.April averages around 40–50 mm of rainfall, typically spread out in light showers rather than heavy downpours.

Sunshine

Early autumn in Wanaka still enjoys plenty of daylight, with around 10–11 hours of sunshine each day.The sun sets earlier than in summer, typically around 7:30 pm, leaving ample time for scenic views and beautiful golden-hour photos before dusk.

Attire

Guests should bring layers—a light jacket or jumper for the daytime, and a warmer coat or wrap for the evenings.Comfortable walking shoes are a must, especially for exploring Wanaka’s stunning natural surroundings.An umbrella or packable raincoat is recommended—just in case of a passing shower.Don’t forget sunglasses and sunscreen, as UV levels can still be high even in autumn
