Our Wedding

"How did you two meet?" is one of my favorite questions. Zach worked at the same church I&nbsp;grew up attending and with my cousin. I basically stalked Zach (not literally, just on social media)&nbsp;for a few weeks&nbsp;before having the courage to ask my cousin to introduce us. Of course I had to treat the situation like we were in middle school and get one cousin to ask the other cousin if he was available and if he could set us up.&nbsp;He drove&nbsp;2&nbsp;hours&nbsp;to Athens (for the second time in his life) on a Tuesday night&nbsp;to just&nbsp;take me on our first&nbsp;date. After my initial pursuit (the stalking part), Zach has not stopped pursuing me for a single moment.&nbsp;Our story is a demonstration of God's love.&nbsp;It's one of our Heavenly Father's faithfulness to fulfill His promises and the desires of our heart. It's one that demonstrates his desire to give us exceedingly, abundantly above what we could ask or think. It shows his prefect timing and plan. I think Zach and I would both agree this didn't happen when, how, or with who&nbsp;we expected, but he&nbsp;is&nbsp;everything I've ever&nbsp;wanted and never knew I needed.&nbsp;&nbsp;Thank you for choosing me.&nbsp;

Her Side

On November 26, 2017, I received a text that woke me up from my usual Sunday nap. Half dreaming and grumpy, I rolled over to see it was my boss. I sighed and thought, “What could he possibly want?” It was to my surprise that he sent me a picture of Breanna.&nbsp;He proceeded to ask me what I thought of her. I told him initially that she was beautiful, but wanted to know why he sent me a random photo. He then went on to tell me that she was his first cousin, and she was interested in me! I was excited and somewhat nervous. I didn’t want to mess things up with my boss. However, in the excitement...I felt like I should proceed. I sent the usual social media requests and we set up our first date in Athens.I want to give a little backstory because I don’t feel like I can properly tell the entire store without it. After finishing college I moved back to Georgia from Nashville. Since 2014, I hadn’t really dated anyone. I’d gone on a few dates here and there, but nothing seemed to work out. I began to pray a simple prayer. "Lord, open the door that only you want open and shut the door that you want to be shut." I’d been praying this prayer for quite some time. I can even remember praying as a little boy for the wife God had for me.&nbsp;January of 2015 I seriously started fasting for my wife. Many of my friends joined me in this prayer pursuit. My mom had been praying for my spouse before I was born. She’d been relentless in praying with me. I’m not sure that I’ve ever coated any other subject more in prayer.&nbsp;When I met Breanna Coursey, I began to realize that she’d been the one I was praying for all these years. On our second date, we went to Covington and walked around the town square. After talking to her for a few hours, I knew she was going to be my wife. Only three weeks had passed and I was so bold to tell her that I loved her. After she said, “you’ve got to be out of your mind.” I proceeded to tell her that in three months she’d be begging me to marry her.&nbsp;She’s humbled me a little since then, but I can say that I was right! God’s been faithful when I wasn’t. He’s been patient when I couldn’t. Breanna was well worth the wait, and I know that I’ve begun one of the most exciting journeys of my life. I’m so honored to call her my fiancé and can’t wait to call her my wife.&nbsp;
