Buckle up—we’ve got to hit 88 mph to go back in time to find the start of this story!

Back in March of 2010, Breanna had been avoiding any chance of going to junior prom without a date, but conceded to her friends and ended up going. Finding a dress about a week before and scheduling hair and makeup, she would begrudgingly head over to take pictures with her friends, unknowing that her entire life would end up changing.

Frankie was going with one of Breanna’s friends to their junior prom (hey, Ash!), and met Breanna for the first time at pictures. Fast forward to the prom itself, Frankie asked Breanna to share a dance, and the two had time to talk with each other. Later that night, Frankie went home and told his mom about the girl in the red dress. Two days after prom, Frankie asked for Breanna’s number, and they’ve spoken everyday since.

Jump back in the DeLorean to arrive at March 27, 2020–10 years and a few beard and hair styles later. At the height of the pandemic, while everything was shutting down in New Jersey, Frankie was making every effort to follow through with his plan even though he had to make a few adjustments. After 10 years of dating, Frankie got down on one knee in Long Beach Island, and asked Breanna to marry him. Breanna socially distanced herself and said yes.

Frankie and Breanna will say “I do” on April 30, 2022–4,417 days after Breanna said “yes” to being Frankie’s girlfriend.
