Eric and Breanna met in August of 2018 while studying nursing at Gordon State College—not as lovers, but as instant best friends. It wasn’t love at first sight… instead it was exam stress, prayers, laughs, grocery store runs, and study sessions at first sight. From the beginning, they were inseparable. Nursing school was filled with stress and anxiety, but through it all they remained each other’s solid rock. Their bond was so natural that all their classmates and everyone around them assumed they’d known each other forever, when in fact, they had only just met. Who knew those late-night study grinds and hallway conversations would be the beginning of forever?

After graduation, life took them on separate but aligned paths. As the world shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic, Eric took on travel nurse assignments across some of Georgia’s hardest-hit areas, while Breanna moved to Charlotte, NC, to begin her nursing career. Despite the distance, their friendship remained strong—filled with daily calls, Snapchats, support, and an unwavering connection—still best friends.

Then destiny stepped in …

I guess God said “I’m getting tired of these two, so I’m going to step in!” because when they say that life comes back full circle, these two are the perfect example of that. Like a love story with perfect timing, their roads somehow looped around and brought them right back to each other. Eric, unexpectadly, landed a travel assignment in Asheville, NC—just one hour from Charlotte, where Breanna lived. Their friendship blossomed in new ways as Eric made frequent trips to Charlotte. They’d explore the city, laughed like always, and lean on each other like they always had…until one weekend, something unexplainable happened. There was a shift. Breanna woke up one morning with a quiet realization: I think I’m in love with my best friend. She didn’t tell him right away—instead, she ran to her mom, who simply responded “Well, it’s about time! I always knew that y’all loved each other!”

From that point on, something had undeniably changed. Neither of them said anything at first, but they both felt it. A few weeks later, in the Summer of 2022, during a casual movie night in Charlotte, they shared their first kiss. From there, they decided to take things slow, let God lead, and simply follow.

Before long, they officially began their relationship—and everything just felt perfect. There was no doubt that these two were EXACTLY where they were supposed to be.

A year later, in June 2023, Breanna experienced the loss of her beloved grandmother, Thomasina. But in the midst of grief, God called one angel back home but sent another, and they received the most beautiful surprise—they were expecting a baby girl. Just when they thought they had everything, their daughter, Nilah Grace, became the light of their lives. Eric moved to Charlotte permanently, and together they continued to build a home and a life rooted in love, faith, and family.

Then, on March 28, 2025, while vacationing in Cancun, Mexico, Eric asked Breanna to be his wife. Under a sky lit with sparklers, champagne in hand, and cameras capturing every moment—he proposed in the most magical way.

Now, here they are…writing the next chapter of their forever. They’re preparing to say “I do”—with their closest loved ones by their side—and they can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter of their story.
