On November 16, 2016, Dennis and Bree met at the UCLA vs USC football game at The Rose Bowl in Pasadena. David, Bree's dad, had two tickets to the game, and he offered the tickets to Bree and she decided to bring along her friend Katie. Katie brought along a box of Franzia wine.

Both Dennis and Bree tailgated with their friends. A little bit into the first quarter, Dennis and his friends, Neal and Lynette, walked into the stadium. Dennis, per his usual custom, went immediately to the snack bar line to get some nachos and a Diet Coke. Neal and Lynette waited patiently for him off to the side. In line, Katie met Dennis and immediately decided that she had to introduce him to Bree. She pulled the smoothest wing-woman move of all time and goes, "have you met Bree?"

Dennis and Bree clicked right away and talked for the first half of the game. They went on their first date the following Saturday.

Two months after their first date, on January 27, 2017, Dennis asked Bree to be his girlfriend by sending flowers to her work and an email with a link to the song "Put A Label on It" by Ryan Follese. Bree immediately responded with a link to the song "Yeah Boy" by Kelsea Ballerini.

On April 22, 2017, during a double date playing golf with their friends Andrew and Rebecca, Dennis and Bree said "I Love You" for the first time.

On October 1, 2018, Dennis moved into the house Bree had shared with her friend Rachel for the last three months of their lease until Dennis and Bree would move into their first apartment together in Downtown Los Angeles.

On May 13, 2022, (Friday the 13th), after 5 years, 3 months, 2 weeks and 2 days of dating, Dennis asked Bree to be his wife on Catalina Island - Bree's favorite place in the world.

Throughout the years, Dennis and Bree have shared some unbelievable experiences together: attending various country concerts, moving to multiple apartments, enjoying friend's weddings, trips to Disneyland, new jobs and career changes (some of which required them to become "office mates" due to COVID times), trips to beautiful destinations, and turning 30 with celebrations on party buses and boats. Now, they cannot wait for all the amazing times ahead as they embark on their next big adventure of becoming husband and wife on June 24, 2023. They are so excited for everyone to be there and celebrate with them!
