Our Wedding

ABRIDGED﻿Our story started in October of 2012. We met through a mutual friend in high school and it only took a couple of months for us to become great friends. The line where we crossed over from a good friendship to a relationship is a little blurry. We had been friends for a couple of years and all of a sudden both of our friends and family were telling us that we had to be secretly dating or liked each other and just did not admit it. We denied this of course, with the typical “that's my best friend, nothing more” comment, boy were we in denial.&nbsp; Fast forward to January 2014 when we went on our first date, ice skating in Pershing Square and dinner at LA Cafe. This ended up becoming a tradition for us for years. February we were each other's Valentine and by now we forsure knew that we liked one another, but we all know David, he took his time to make it “official” and waited until April! Fast forward nearly 10 years later and we get engaged! There have been so many memories in the years in between, from unforgettable vacations, both of us graduating college, buying a home together, and being alongside our family and friends for their accomplishments as well.&nbsp; We were literal kids when we started dating and have been by each other's side through every milestone. We grew up together and this is something that we have gotten to share with everyone around us. We cannot wait to get married and begin the biggest and best chapter yet in our story and we are so excited to have you along for this moment as well.

Our Story

The Proposal: November 20th, 2023 Canmore, Alberta, Canada.David put his all into the proposal. We had a trip already planned to Banff and little did I know, he was planning the proposal the entire time. In the most beautiful place that we have been, at a heart shaped lake, with a surprise photographer, he proposed and I could not have been more caught off guard.

The Vietnamese Tea Ceremony: 8/25/24 we had our traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony and reception to honor David's Vietnamese culture. We had a lot of fun planning this celebration along side of David's parents and it took a village to have it come together. We are happy that we got to carry on this tradition and blend our families together as one.

Not only the sister of the bride but also the built-in best friend since birth.  It was a no brainer that she would not only be in the wedding but would be the one to help make this day the best possible and there is no one else I would have wanted as Maid of Honor.

David's longest standing friendship and for good reason. It has been over a decade of endless memories and now they work together everyday building rocket ships.  There is no friend he trusts more in life and he cannot imagine this special day without him.

Lean 

Cousin, friend, and honorary sister of the bride. Having grown up together Mariko has always been there and in more of a sister capacity than a cousin, this is why she was an obvious choice to have by my side during this special time of my life.

A kid at heart in all of the best ways. Friends since high school and they have shared some of the best memories that they still reminisce about till this day. His attitude and ability to always have a good time has kept them paired up since they met and why it was an easy call to have him by David's side.

Ryan

God-sister, friend, and everything in between. Only being 7 weeks apart there isn't a lot that we haven't experienced together, including many lake trips, graduations, & lots of sleepovers. This is why it was an easy choice to have her by my side through this life event as well.

Amber

One of the happiest guys and the one to always keep the party going. He has the most positive outlook on everything and always wants best for everyone. He is a friend that will always be there for you and that is why there was no doubt in my mind to have him by David's side for this life event.

Not only the niece and goddaughter to the bride and groom, she is the life of the party. There is no doubt that Leila will be the best flower girl but we know that she will also be tearing up the dance floor all night long!

The curator of good vibes and one with a big heart. He’s always there for us and one we can always count on to be by our side. It’s only right we have him by our side on this special day.

Nephew to the bride and groom and the cutest ring bearer we could have asked for! With his mellow personality and cutest dimples, we know that he will steal the show!

When discussing who we wanted to marry us, we wanted someone who was special to us and had been there since the beginning. Karen was a no brainer and really the only person we wanted for the job, thankfully she said yes! We know that her personality, wit, and loving nature will shine through to make our big day extra special.

Travel

This lavender farm is the perfect activity during this time of the year. They have lavender products to buy, food, drinks, and more!

123 Farm

We went apple picking here in the fall and loved it! During the spring season they have berry picking available plus lots of other activities including: petting zoo, live music, picnic areas, BBQ, and more.

Los Rios Rancho

If you are looking for a place for coffee or tea before the wedding or the day after, we always love Dutch Bros! Make sure to look up their secret menu items too! Some of our favorites are the kicker, the carmelizer, golden eagle chai, and astronaut iced tea with green tea!

We stopped by this bakery on the way to the venue one day while wedding planning and David deemed it "the best croissant i've ever had". They make many different flavors of croissants and all 3 that we have had have been amazing!
