As many of you know, Phillip and I have been together for quite sometime - 13 years by the time we say I do! But few know all the details of the origin story. It all began with high school band. My best friend and Maid of Honor, Mairead Barrett sat right behind me in band and played the French Horn. Well we couldn't not chat with each other during band and one of our favorite activities was bothering Phillip. He was always so grumpy in the mornings and we couldn't help but poke fun.

Then there was a day in which our bus was a little more crowded than normal. Phillip's parents live just down the road from mine. Seeing that Phillip needed a seat and I was sitting alone, I offered him to sit with me. We began talking about classes and that was simply that. He officially asked me out a few weeks later on May 31st, 2011.

Phillip graduated from high school and went on to Penn State and we began our almost 6 years of long distance from the fall of 2012 to the spring of 2018! I attended the University of Pittsburgh. After my graduation I landed a job in the city and Phillip moved to Pittsburgh! On Thanksgiving day 2021, Phillip proposed with the help of one of our beloved cats. After returning to our hometown we began the process of planning the wedding while I was still in grad-school. It has been a journey getting here but we've loved every minute and wouldn't change anything! We're so excited to celebrate with you!
