Every great love story has a beginning, and ours started in 8th grade, on a class trip to Washington, D.C. in 2018. Between sightseeing, bus rides, and middle-school mayhem, two kids — Bree and Nick — found something special in each other. We laughed, joked, and talked about everything under the sun, not realizing that those moments were the start of something truly unforgettable.Somewhere between monuments and museums, Bree caught feelings first. She tried to play it cool (she’ll tell you she did a pretty good job), but Nick eventually caught on. After weeks of friendship, nervous smiles, and a few not-so-subtle hints, Nick made his move in May 2018. Then, on June 8th, 2018, he officially asked Bree to be his girlfriend. That night, two teenagers took a chance on love — and never looked back.High school came with its own adventures. Nick at Nease, Bree at Ponte Vedra — two schools, two mascots, one love story. Between Friday night games, homework marathons, and busy schedules, we still found time to support each other through everything. Four years of long-distance halls and high school dreams only made us stronger.When graduation caps flew, our paths led us both to the University of North Florida. Bree chased her dream of becoming a nurse, and Nick pursued a business degree. College brought new challenges, new memories, and countless coffee-fueled nights — but through it all, we were each other’s biggest cheerleaders.Then came August 3rd, 2024 — a day we’ll never forget. On the beach, with the sunset painting the sky, Nick got down on one knee. The sound of the waves faded as Bree said “yes,” surrounded by the same love that had been growing since middle school.From best friends to high school sweethearts, to college partners, and now soon-to-be husband and wife — our story has been filled with laughter, love, and a little bit of destiny.Here’s to every moment that led us here… and to the forever still to come. 💞
