Brian and Taylor met while training and instructing at the Raleigh Flying Club. After realizing that they had quite a bit in common, like aviation and hockey, they quickly became great friends. They now enjoy spending the occasional night at Sports & Social and continuing to work together at the flight school.

John and Taylor hung out for the first time at a Homecoming dance in high school where they didn’t actually know each other's names. A year later, they reconnected playing “yolk” basketball in gym class and became inseparable. John has been affectionately referred to as Shmeags and a part of Taylor’s life ever since.

Matt “Chiggy” and Taylor initially met in middle school but didn’t become close friends until playing “yolk” basketball in gym class in high school. They proceeded to spend the remaining years of high school by each other's sides. Chiggy now lives in Dallas, TX and he and Taylor make an effort to go to an annual NASCAR race to see each other.

Tanner is Taylor’s oldest friend. They met when they were in kindergarten and were neighbors throughout middle school. They enjoyed playing many years of basketball together and cheering on Tampa sports teams.

Brandon is Taylor’s brother-in-law. While they don’t get to spend as much time together as Taylor would like due to the geographical distance, he is looking forward to being an official uncle and all of the family times ahead.

Bree was lucky to work in the same office as Maggie when she moved to Raleigh. They bonded quickly after a weekend of moving in the July summer heat. She has always been someone Bree can count on through the various chapters of life that have occurred the last few years.

Although Krista is an Ohio State alumna, she and Bree hit it off when she moved to Raleigh and also took a job with NC State. They connected over several common interests, including volleyball and their shared desire to travel and explore the Triangle area and became very fast friends.

Mel and Bree met during their senior year of college. They were both involved on a Donor and Alumni Relations Committee for a student run philanthropy at Penn State called THON. She has the biggest heart and is amazing at maintaining her friendships, even from a distance!

Not everyone is so lucky to have a sister-in-law who also becomes a great friend. Bree’s brother definitely picked a winner in Rachel and she feels lucky to have her along for the ride for all of life’s future journeys.

When it comes down to it, Laura is technically Bree’s step-aunt-in-law. She has easily become more of a sister to Bree and Taylor and they are so grateful that she has moved to the Triangle area and they get to plan so many fun adventures together.

Dani has been Bree’s best friend since middle school. No matter how much time has passed, they can always pick up right back where they left off and there is quite a bit of history to show for it!

Bree and Allison became roommates during her sophomore year of college. Unfortunately, Allison graduated that year but they have been able to keep in touch ever since through marriage, moves and a growing family!

Krista and Bree also met during their senior year of college due to their involvement on the Donor and Alumni Relations Committee for THON. She is a great friend to have around if you’re trying to have a good time and always finds a way to be positive, even in the toughest of situations.

Haley and Bree were co-workers at Penn State. It was suggested to both of them that they would make great friends and once they finally made it a point to get together, they realized that they weren’t wrong! They navigated through a few relationships and career transitions and formed a bond that has proven to stand the test of time.

Christina and Bree initially met working together at Penn State. Fortunately, Haley helped to bring them closer together a few years later when they were both in different roles. She is the best Penn State football tailgating hostess and is a great friend to have around for even the hardest of conversations.

After playing together for a few volleyball seasons, Lindsay and Bree finally made it a point to become “real friends.” While they only had about 6 months together in State College before moving on to Philadelphia and Raleigh, they established a true friendship that can be hard to find.

After getting into beach volleyball during the pandemic, Allison and Bree were destined to become friends. It took a surprising amount of time for their paths to cross but it was no shock to anyone when they hit it off.

Bree was fortunate enough to meet Jordan during her provisional year of membership in the Junior League of Raleigh. She is one of the most thoughtful people Bree knows and is always down to try something new.
