Breege & Joshua

The story of the mighty BJ

Rewinding back to August 2019. Breege and Josh saw each other at the casino after 3 years of no contact visits. Days later Breege was still at the casino, Josh was being responsible by waking up early for work and of course, Breege thought anyone awake at 3am on a weeknight would be out too. She was shocked to realise Josh was in fact working and instead, it would be a good idea to catch up at Cicerellos in Fremantle.

So it began a first date that wasn't a real date just in case all failed and they just wanted to be friends. Breege made a stunning impression within the first 10 minutes of the "date" by losing her purse. This was Josh's first realisation of how ditsy Breege can really be. On the car ride back home, they both talked about how much they didn't want a relationship and that they were just happy to be doing their own thing. Better date talk than you'd expect as that was when they thought: hmm this guy/girl could actually be a nice and low-maintenance partner.

On November 16th 2019 Josh asked Breege to be his girlfriend. This is when Breege should've realised Josh tends to ask questions. Breege and Josh continued to go on many dates and soon booked their first holiday which was to be to Sydney in June 2020. Covid said no sir. Finally, they managed to travel to East-Timor and Bali together. Josh felt like a giant in the country with the world's shortest population. Please see below for Breege's compilation of tiny things in Josh's hand.

They moved in together in November 2022 and Josh still puts up with Breege leaving doors unlocked, overhead cupboards open and leaving shoes everywhere. Breege still claims if the problem with the cupboards is that it's at his head height and he might hit it, he should use his eyes to see it first. And don't get her started on the care of that lawn.

Now here they are, for the rest of their lives, agreeing to deal with open cupboards, unlocked doors, shoes everywhere, and a lawn with so much more potential. Let's hope it lasts.
