This is the Dining Common that is closest to the UMass Hotel (right across the street!). It has been renovated in recent years, so alums will sadly not recognize it!
Blue Wall is a food court located on the main level of the Campus Center selling a variety of foods. Favorites of Breezie's include The Grill's chicken tender basket & milkshakes, Paciugo's gelato, and Yum! Bakery's cake pops.
If you're looking for more of the authentic UMass Dining experience that Breezie, Alex, and friends remember fondly (e.g., no frills but lots of nostalgia), head to Frank!
A cool spot in Amherst Center, next to Amherst Cinema - they serve coffee, tea, and alcoholic drinks!
One of our favorite pizza spots located in North Amherst (we feel that it is better than Antonio's!). We love to order slices to go. Our favorites are the BBQ Queen, 4 Cheese Bianca, and Steak Taco.
Atkins sells lots of great food and bakery items and is a Western Mass staple!
Good bagels/breakfast sandwiches in Amherst Center!
Good Chinese food - Crab Rangoons highly recommended!

Our favorite date night spot about 20 minutes from Amherst with amazing Italian food/pasta! Northampton is fun to explore/shop around.
Great pasta dishes in Amherst Center. Alex loves the carbonara. Note that accessibility is limited if the ground floor tables are full.
A huge, beautiful brewery with great beer and pizza! About 20 minutes north of Amherst.
We love White Lion's beer!
A smaller mall which includes a Target, JC Penney, Dick's Sporting Goods, Arizona Pizza, and other stores close to campus.
A larger mall about 30 minutes from Amherst.
Downtown Amherst is close to campus and has some little shops and food spots to explore. Amherst College is on College Street, and is a beautiful campus to walk around.
Lots of fun little shops and places to eat in Downtown Northampton!
Some people enjoy hiking up, but we prefer to drive (though it is a windy drive) and enjoying the view of the Pioneer Valley from the Summit House. You will be able to see UMass on a clear day!
Mount Sugarloaf (to the North of Amherst) is a cool little mountain to check out and enjoy the view from on a nice day.
If you are a candle lover, Western Mass is the home of Yankee Candle! So much fun to visit and about 20 minutes north of Amherst.
