Our Wedding

Brenda and LeJon met in May of 2015 while she was visiting her brother at a mutual friends house getting ready for work. While she was getting ready, LeJon came in to her brother Eddie’s room to ask him a question about going out later that night. When LeJon didn’t see Eddie and saw his sister instead, he was genuinely awestruck and was delighted to find this beautiful woman in his presence instead of his friend. A mutual friend at the time then introduced LeJon and Brenda and started talking him up stating that he was a wonderful artist, and to show Brenda some of the music he had been working on. Immediately LeJon started performing one of his songs and after he was finished she thought the performance was profound and encouraged him to continue pursuing his dreams. After the interaction LeJon tweeted ‘I think I just found the love of my life’ not actually realizing that the statement was solidified as soon as he hit the submit button. After a few weeks, the two were an item and could be seen spending time at the local arcade/bowling alley, getting wings from their favorite wing spot, and enjoying drinks under the summer sun. He marveled at her free spirited attitude and made him feel more comfortable about being in his skin, and she enjoyed his intelligence on multiple topics and the family dynamic in which he hailed from. Before too long, the couple were blessed with their first child, Kai, which set up the premise for the family they have grown to become. After Kai, came Ezekiel and then Zoë, and with the inclusion of her older son Nathan, the couple had then become a family of six. Before becoming pregnant with Zoë, LeJon had plotted with multiple family members to propose to Brenda but the original plans had not panned out as expected, leaving LeJon with a ring but no scheme. Nervously, he tried to predict a reality when it would be plausible to propose to Brenda but didnt execute anything until he was around family, who ultimately, gave him the motivation he needed to muster up the courage to propose. On July 18, 2021 LeJon proposed to Brenda at their annual family camp in front of family and loved ones. This was the day that solidified their love and friendship and forged that they would be dedicated to each other forever. LeJon and Brenda enjoy doing many things together like going out to eat, listening to soul music, and watching anime together. They both enjoy spending time with family and friends, and value their relationships with their children. They enjoy road trips together, and an occasional debate about who we are, what we come from, and what life truly means to them. They are true reciprocation of each other and often fills the need when the other feels depleted. They are an example of what it means to have love in a relationship and because of that love, they are willing to work on making their romance an everlasting one! After 8 years together, we can’t wait for you all to join us as we say “I do” on September 23rd, 2023!
