Q + A

Dress code?

Semi-formal.

Kids?

Kids are welcome to come (please let us know numbers in your RSVP if they're not listed!), but please do your best to keep them from disrupting the ceremony or other guests.

How many guests can I bring?

Although we would love to invite everyone who wishes to come, we are only able to accommodate those noted on the invitation at this time.

Parking?

Como Zoo & Conservatory has free parking in multiple different lots. Ubers/Lyfts are also available throughout the city and can drop you off there as well.

Weather/What to wear?

Late September in Minnesota is generally warm-ish (65-75 degrees) but Minnesota's weather is very volatile and we can get colder weather earlier than expected. The ceremony will be held outdoors and then the reception will be held indoors the rest of the evening. Check the forecast before you finish packing!

Where to stay?

We have a wedding block set up through two Marriott hotels, but you are welcome to stay anywhere you would like!

Can I visit the zoo/conservatory?

Yes and it's free to go (donations encouraged)! It's open every day from 10am to 4pm. Keep in mind that the ceremony isn't until 5:45 though, so you may need to find something to do in the meantime.

Are there any restrictions on what I can bring?

This venue does not allow any rice, glitter, bubbles, or anything similar that could hurt the animals or plants present. Please make sure to not bring these items!

Travel

The Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) airport will be the closest to the venue- approximately 30min away.

We will plan to arrange for some shuttles to and from the hotels- details to follow in the coming months!

There are TWO hotel blocks- pick whichever you'd like! One is near the airport, the other hotel block is also near the airport but across the street from the Mall of America. Please book hotels by August 26th!

Things to Do

We recognize many of you are flying out for this and we so so appreciate you making the journey! We've compiled a list of the best places to eat and things to do in the Twin Cities and can't wait to hear how you like Minnesota!

Places to Eat

Breakfast

-Glamdoll Donuts: Fancy gourmet donuts, even have some savory options depending on the day. (https://glamdolldonuts.com/)

-Good Day Cafe: Really good biscuits & gravy and potato dishes.(https://www.gooddaycafe.com/)

-Hope Breakfast Bar: Kelsey has tried nearly every item on the menu and they are all really good. (https://www.hopebreakfast.com/)

-Tous de Jours: French-Asian bakery a-la-carte style, they have some weird but tasty pastry things. (https://tljus.com/)

Lunch/Dinner

-Wrecktangle Pizza: Deepdish pizza with lots of interesting flavors, they have strange but really good breakfast pizza that's won a lot of awards (https://wrecktanglepizza.com/)

-Gai Noi: Laotian food, really good with cool rooftop garden area. (https://www.gainoimpls.com/)

-Hola Arepa: Maybe the best Latin American restaurant in the cities? (https://www.holaarepa.com/)

-Sanjusan: Japanese-Italian fusion food. Definitely a little pricey, BUT still worth a trip if you're a foodie. (https://www.sanjusanrestaurant.com/)

-Quang: Best pho in the Twin Cities! (http://www.quang-restaurant.com/)

Things to Do!

-Minnesota Zoo runs a Pumpkin Spectacular event with thousands of intricate pumpkin carvings every fall (https://mnzoo.org/jols-2026/)

-CanCan Wonderland is an underground vintage arcade, mini golf, and bar that is one of the coolest hidden gems in the Twin Cities (just don't get their food, that is easily their weak point..) (https://www.cancanwonderland.com/)

-Minnesota's Largest Candy Store is maybe our favorite thing on this list; If there's a rare candy or snack you haven't been able to find, it's probably here, it's so incredibly expansive. It is in the middle of nowhere, but the trip is well worth it if you rent a car while you're here. (https://minnesotaslargestcandystore.com/)

-Mall of America has to be on this list somewhere, it's cool if you've never been. (https://mallofamerica.com/)

-Minnesota Museum of Art has lots of historic art (https://new.artsmia.org/), the Walker has the sculpture garden with the famous spoon and cherry sculpture (https://walkerart.org/).
