We first met at Anytime Fitness Cronulla.

Our First Date was at ‘Kingpin’ in Darling Harbour.

Officially Boyfriend and Girlfriend - Not long afterwards, Elyse 'accidentally' took Brenden's credit card with her and travelled back to Canberra for the week where she was studying.

6 month Anniversary - We spent the weekend at The Star, Sydney. Brenden also took Elyse out to a wonderful Japanese restaurant (Kobe Wagyu BBQ), where it sparked her love for Japanese cuisine.

During the COVID Pandemic - This experience allowed us to grow as a couple and we learnt so much more about each other.

Our First Getaway after COVID restrictions were lifted - We travelled to the Gold Coast where we went to the BEST Teppanyaki restaurant and Elyse experienced her first time at a theme park (Warner Bros. Movie World), where she developed a chronic fear of roller-coasters…

Our first overseas trip together to Japan - We spent one month indulging in the food, sites and culture of Shinjuku, Tokyo, Mt Fuji, Kyoto and Osaka.

The Proposal - with a small crowd surrounding us at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. Brenden got down on one knee under the only cherry blossom tree that was in full bloom in the park. Elyse eventually said YES!
