It all started on a hot August day in 2020 and two people swiping on Hinge. Brenna came across Travis’ profile and thought, “Wow, now that is a man!”, so she sent him a message. Depsite Travis almost deleting the app that week, he saw Brenna’s like and sent back a mutual note. We talked about Al’s Donuts in Plainfield and our idea for a perfect first date, which was tacos and margaritas. We immediately connected and got together a short few days later. When we saw each other for the first time we both felt something a little different than any other date. Travis thought, “There is something different about this girl. Her face is one that I feel like I have loved for years.” That is love at first sight, right?! Brenna was speechless and thought...again, “Woah. This is the tall, dark and handsome MAN I have been longing for my whole life.” With flutters in our stomachs, we had a fun and relaxed first date.

From that day on, our journey has been perfect. Imperfectly perfect, of course. Our mutual connection with Christ is what has brought us this far and will continue to sustain our love. Our 4 years has been filled with love, snuggles, growth, prayer, laughter, trials, Sundays at church, NBA, Bible studies, enjoying the outdoors, karaoke, dancing, becoming dog parents to Penny and endless grace and forgiveness.

Travis provides peace, calmness amidst the storms, lightheartedness, natural flow, methodical processing, big picture, dependability, true grace and forgiveness, interest in trying out new hobbies and activities and so much more.

Brenna provides extroversion, emotional expression, full vulnerability, the arts, quality time with friends and family, enjoying each season to the fullest, details, quick action, planning, encouragement, hosting and so much more.

We cannot wait to become one with Christ and enjoy the rest of our lives in the best way, together.
