It was an early, brisk fall morning when Kai arrived at the dog park. Excited to play, his owner, Kiara, opened the gate for him, and as Kai rushed in, he was shocked to find that his usual bench, where he and his owner always sat, had already been taken. “Who would dare take his spot at 6 a.m.?”

Not too bothered, Kai walked over to his bench anyway, and that’s where he met another dog named Kaija. The two became instant friends, and started running around and playing together.

As Kai and Kaija were playing, they noticed their two owners had decided to share the bench and start up a conversation. What began as a simple meet-cute in a dog park was about to turn into something much more.

Kaija’s owner, Brent, being the morning person he is, introduced himself to Kiara, who had yet to have her morning coffee. He immediately began bombarding her with questions: “Hey, how you doing? Good morning! How’s it going? And who do we have here!?”

Kiara, still shaken by the first question, was unsure whether to run or respond. After brief contemplation, she decided, “Hey, why not?” and engaged in Brent’s laundry list of greetings and questions.

Over the course of the next month, Brent and Kiara ran into each other a few more times at the dog park. They would talk for what seemed like forever, and finding it hard to leave, would let Kai and Kaija play together just a little longer.

Finally, Brent and Kiara started dating. One date turned into two, two dates turned into three, and three dates turned into Brent never leaving Kiara’s house. The two became inseparable, and so did their dogs, Kai and Kaija.

After nearly four years, Brent and Kiara’s meet-cute at the dog park had grown into a wonderful life they’d built together, filled with the things they love—comedy shows, country dancing, concerts, cheering on their favorite teams at hockey, baseball, and football games, and spending evenings sharing good food and even better cocktails. They discovered that it’s not just about the big moments, but the little ones too—the everyday joys that make life richer when shared together.

One of the things they love most is adventure. Whether traveling across the world or exploring new places in Arizona, they’re happiest when experiencing life together. Some of their best memories come from spontaneous trips and the joy of discovering new places, just the two of them. It was during one of those adventures, in the heart of London, that their lives changed forever. Standing in front of the Tower Bridge, Brent got down on one knee and asked Kiara to marry him. It was a moment that felt like something out of a dream, one they would cherish forever, and in a place they can’t wait to visit again.

Kai and Kaija may have brought them together, but their love and shared passions have carried them here. They can’t wait to take the next step in their journey together, surrounded by family and friends who have supported them along the way.
