A note about Farmington's History and why it matters to us.
We are honored to celebrate our marriage at Farmington, a historic site in Louisville, KY. We also recognize the complex and painful history of this land, once the center of a 550-acre plantation where enslaved individuals were forced to labor.
In acknowledgment of this legacy, and in lieu of wedding favors, we are making a donation to the National Black Justice Coalition, supporting Black LGBTQ+ individuals and the pursuit of justice and inclusion.
As a lesbian couple, we view love as an act of resilience and hope. It is our intention to celebrate with joy and gratitude while honoring the past and contributing to a more equitable future.
