The crowd went wild! The Milwaukee Bucks had just beaten the Boston Celtics in game 5 of the first round of the 2018 playoffs. As Brett and Cari left the stadium they were overjoyed not only for the Bucks victory but because they had found each other. That night, while strolling through downtown Milwaukee on a cool, starry night, Cari and Brett pronounced their love for each other for the first time.

Fast forward five years through countless adventures…from backpacking through Europe for five weeks, moving to Seattle for three years, and spontaneous trips to the Dominican Republic…the list goes on.

Little did Cari know that one small adventure would turn into the adventure of a lifetime. Brett and Cari took a small trip to Chicago on December 31, 2022 in celebration of New Year’s Eve. Before the happy couple went to dinner, Brett asked Cari to join him on the rooftop of the hotel for a drink. On a similar cool, starry night that reminded Brett of the first time Cari told him that she loved him, Brett proposed to Cari.

She said yes.
