The Byron glacier trail is a 1.4 mile, flat, out-and-back walk (2.8 miles round trip). The trail is appropriate for all ages and offers upclose views of the galcier. Expect to be walking for 1 to 1.5 hours.

After the Byron glacier walk we will head to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. This is a great opportunity to see Alaskan animals. More details and rates: https://www.alaskawildlife.org/visit/

Join us on one of our favorite hikes up to Crow Pass. The pass offers scenic views of the Eagle River Valley and Girdwood Valley.
Starting at the Crow Pass Trailhead this trail is 2.5 miles to the pass (5 miles round-trip) with 2000 feet of elevation gain. This is a moderate hike with consistent uphill to the pass. The trail is well established in some areas but rocky in others. This hike includes old mine ruins and up close glacier access. Approximately +/-4 hours.
Meet us at the crow pass trailhead (google earth link below). Bring a liter of water, snacks, and a lunch. Appropriate footwear: hiking shoes or running shoes with tread.
Tram ride to the top of Alyeska! Meet us at the tram ticket office and we will ride to the top for amazing views of Turnagain Arm and glaciers. We will be hanging out and exploring Girdwood this weekend! We will be staying in Girdwood Friday through Monday and going on day trips throughout the area.
