As most of you know, in February of 2018 Bri and I met while working in Rides at Great Adventure. What you might not have known is that we did not say more then 5 words to each other that entire time! While I always thought she was a cute and nice girl, we weren't in the same friend group and just never had the chance to get friendly.

Fast forward to April of 2020, which I don't even need to explain, I was on Twitter and Bri was tweeting about the NJ Devils, which I've also been a fan of my entire life. So I started liking her tweets and then on April 21st (her 20th birthday) I sent her a message that said "Happy quarantined birthday!" We talked a little after that, comparing our Covid-quarantined birthdays. A few days later I messaged her again and asked "You're a Devils fan right?" and from that point on we didn't stop talking. For weeks we chatted until eventually we started Facetiming, staying up all night until the sun rose and the birds started chirping, giggling about everything and anything.

After almost a month of Facetime calls and long nights later, we wanted to hang out but couldn't really because of Covid. So we came up with the idea to kayak on the Prospertown Lake. (Next to Great Adventure, (how fitting!) She's so cute, she literally went to Walmart herself and bought a kayak! I already had one so we met up at the lake and went kayaking which was a perfect pandemic activity. As a day of fun was almost over and we were about to leave, I asked Bri if she would be my girlfriend and she said yes! Up until that point we followed all the rules (being social distanced, etc.) but that day I broke them and gave her a hug and a kiss. From then on was history, and I wouldn't want to be on this great adventure with anybody else :)
