Q + A

When should I book my accommodations?

Guests should book their accommodations as soon as possible. Door County is a popular vacation destination, especially during the fall as the leaves start to change. Most resorts are locally owned and do not offer room blocks, so accommodations listed on our shuttle route are first come, first serve.

Are there Ubers/Lyfts/taxis in Door County?

NO! Door County does not typically have taxis, Ubers or Lyfts available, so guests will need to ensure that they have a safe ride to and from the wedding and should prepare to drive between locations during their stay. There will be a shuttle that will pick up and drop off from the Landing Resort, the Landmark Resort, and the Beachfront Inn.

Are there AirBnB's in Door County?

Yes, there are many home rentals within Door County to accommodate larger parties. However, please be reminded that guests staying in a home rental are responsible for safe transportation to and from the wedding.

What are my options for late night food in Door County?

Door County is primarily full of local and small businesses, so late night food options may be scarce and delivery unavailable. While there are no national fast food chains in the county, guests should be able to find small pubs and restaurants open reasonably late. It is recommended that guests pack snacks to be kept at their accommodation to battle late night munchies!

What is the weather in September like in Door County?

Weather during the day is usually in the upper 60s or lower 70s, but often dip into the low 50s during the night, so guests should pack for a variety of weather. Since Door County is a peninsula in Lake Michigan, temperatures usually drop pretty quickly once the sun sets, so guests should bring jackets if they plan to stay out after sunset.
