Alex, a 27-year-old entrepreneur in Dallas, is originally from DeSoto, Texas. He owns an online Black Owned sneaker consignment store, 65 Boutique. Alex earned his Bachelor of Science from Texas College (an HBCU in Tyler, TX), where he pledged Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Alex's parents are Angela Smith and the late Reginald Giddens.

Bria, a 26-year-old Registered Nurse in Dallas, is also originally from DeSoto, Texas. She is currently earning her Master's of Science in Nursing to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Christian University, where she pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Bria's parents are Dexter Johnson, Sr. and Cynthia Johnson. She is the only girl of 4, with her brothers being Dexter Johnson, Jr., Steven McGee, and the late Charles McGee.

Alexander & Bria's love story starts in 2013, the year of their very first date. Alex remembers being very nervous, and the same for Bria. For her, this was the first time she would introduce a boy to her family. Her father may or may not have been cleaning his shotgun when Alex arrived to pick her up, but they made it to Genghis Grill with high hopes. The date was full of laughs and ended with a kiss. Alex remembers, before Bria went home that night, writing on a foggy window in his father’s car “Be mine?” and Bria hilariously replied, “No.”

Bria couldn't help but remember how obnoxious Alex seemed to be in high school years before, but her mother nudged her in the right direction and she decided to give him a fair chance. During their early dating, the two learned just how much they started to fall for one another. Of course, with this comes learning how to healthily love another person - that part was as tough as it was special. According to Alex and Bria, with everything else going on in their lives over that time, they just couldn't get it right until they both individually grew up. Well... they did.

Alex has lived his life as an optimist and natural go-getter. He does not shy away from new experiences and has no trouble just going with the flow. In his eyes, "Bria is everything I had been searching for my whole life. When I’m with her I feel complete, without her I feel empty. She accepted me for the person I was at a younger age, and she watched me grow into the person I am today. Never would I have thought that I would be blessed to have such a strong connection with someone intellectually and spiritually. I honestly wouldn’t be the person I am today without her. She pushes me to levels unimaginable. I love her. Jay-Z finally found his Beyoncé."

Bria tends to live her life as a realist, but with boundless ambition. She is not afraid to do what seems impractical, especially when she can plan it out. In her eyes, "Alex has a heart that's unmatched, & I feel so blessed to be in this with him. Not only is he FINE, he speaks my love language and handles me with care. He just keeps transforming into better versions of himself right in front of my eyes, which is beautiful. He is the second funniest person I know, behind me. I love that when he makes plans, it's always 'us' & 'we' (meaning me, him and Lola). Plus, there is such an intellectual depth to him. He's definitely my person."

The love is REAL, ya'll. Over their years together, Alex & Bria found that they balance each other out in all the right ways. They bring out the absolute best in each other, which they attribute to learning how to love themselves individually first. They make each other happy and hopeful for a future together. More importantly, Alex & Bria have realized just how important having faith in God really is. They trust Him to lead them toward their purpose as a team. They are excited to begin this new chapter in their beautiful love story.
