Despite the fact that he may make his own bad decisions, he’s always making sure to teach Brian valuable life lessons and advice. Brian's connection to Daven came through Uncle Brandon, and Daven quickly became an integral part of their family. The trio was inseparable, and Daven's close bond with Brandon made him feel like a family member. Though not related by blood, Daven's presence and connection were so strong that he was considered another uncle to Brian, solidifying his place within their family.

Deandre and Brian first met during PE at Causey Middle School, where they happened to sit next to each other during roll call. Their bond quickly grew through their shared passion for basketball, playing together as teammates throughout both middle and high school.
