What is required for travel to the UK and EU from the US?
Starting in 2025, U.S. citizens will need to apply for an ETA to travel to the UK and an ETIAS to visit the EU. U.S. passports are required for travel to the UK, and they must be valid for the entire duration of your stay, plus 6 months beyond your expected return date. For more details and helpful links, please visit the 'Travel' page.
What is the easiest way to get to the venue?
On our 'Travel' page, you’ll find directions and various travel options to the venue from both Heathrow and Bristol airports. If you decide to stay off-site from St. Audries Park, please note that taxis should be booked in advance. The venue offers plenty of parking for your convenience.
What airport is best to fly into?
The best airport to fly into depends on your starting location. Bristol Airport is closer to the venue, while Heathrow is closer to London. We have found that flying into Heathrow tends to be more cost-effective for many of our family and friends.
What is the dress code for the weekend?
For those joining us for the Sunday evening rehearsal dinner, we kindly ask for dressy casual attire. On Monday (our wedding day!), please come dressed in formal wear. Since it will be summer, we encourage you to embrace color and wear something that makes you feel fabulous! Men, please wear suits, and women, we ask that you refrain from wearing white. The bridal party will be dressed in shades of yellow, dusty blue, and sage. For Tuesday’s breakfast, feel free to wear casual and comfy attire.
Where is the ceremony and reception taking place?
All events—including the ceremony, reception, morning-after breakfast, and overnight accommodations—will take place at St. Audries Park Estate, located in West Quantoxhead, Somerset.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors. However, weather permitting, we are hoping to enjoy some outdoor activities, including croquet, giant garden games, and champagne in the sunshine!
Are credit and debit cards accepted at the venue, or do I need cash?
The venue accepts credit and debit cards, but unfortunately, they do not accept cash.
Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?
Due to limited capacity, we are unable to accommodate additional plus-ones. The name of each invited guest will be listed on your invitation, and we kindly ask that no extra guests be brought, as no additional guests can be accommodated.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
We absolutely love your children! However, due to space limitations, we can only accommodate children of immediate family members. Any children who are invited will be specifically listed on the invitation.
What is the weather like?
Mid-July in Somerset (or the UK) usually brings lovely summer weather with mild to warm temperatures. You can expect daytime highs around 21°C (70°F), with cooler mornings and evenings around 15°C (59°F). On warmer days, temperatures might even reach up to 25°C (77°F).
While occasional light showers can happen, rain is less common during the summer months. You will also enjoy plenty of sunshine and longer daylight hours. We recommend bringing a light jacket or an umbrella during your travels, so you are prepared for anything the weather may bring!
