Julie and I first met on POF, the dating website, just as we were about to both delete our dating profiles and take a break from dating.
After 2 days of exchanging text messages we met in person at a pool hall and hit it off right away. It seemed like we spent everyday together after that night. Two weeks after we met Julie told me that she had a night out planned for us. She made me dinner at her apartment, went indoor mini putting and then for a walk on the pier in Burlington to see the Christmas lights. That's when Julie asked if I wanted to be her boyfriend.
After a year and a half of great times and new experiences I planned an afternoon back to the same pier we first started dating on. The Saturday of Easter weekend I told her that we were going for a hike and woudn't tell her where. Once arriving at the Burlington waterfront and walking towards the pier we realized it was a lot colder out than we had dressed for. An ideal sunny stroll turned into a speed walking race along the lakeshore. Making it to the pier I was ready to pop the question, but there was one problem, the only thing Julie wanted to do is head back to the car because she was so cold. I was able to get her to stand in one spot for thirty seconds and getting down on one knee I said "this is where it all began, let's make it a life time. Will you marry me?" She said yes!!!
We are very exciting to celebrate this big moment with everyone.
