What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
The dress code for our wedding is formal. Ladies should wear evening dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie. Since our venue is english garden inspired we suggest floral patterns and softer colors such as pink and blue.
What will the weather be like this time of year?
The weather will be nice during the ceremony but it might cool down in the evening since we are close to the beach. We suggest bringing a light jacket just in case it gets a little chilly.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony and reception will be outdoors. The reception portion will be under a tent with outdoor heaters.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving at 3:00pm to give yourself time to pick your seat, sign the guest book, and mingle before the ceremony starts. The ceremony starts promptly at 4:00pm, if you are late you will be asked to wait in a space that will not interrupt the ceremony.
Are kids welcome?
Yes! We just ask that you let us know in advance if your little ones will be joining us so we can make the proper arrangements.
When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?
We ask that you RSVP by March 31st so we can make proper arrangements. Please RSVP through our website. If you are having trouble RSVPing, please feel free to text Brian or Gail and we will make sure you are accounted for.
Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the entire venue is wheelchair friendly.
Can I bring a date?
We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?
Our ceremony and reception will be held at the same location. Please note we will be getting married at Twin Oaks House and Garden, not the golf course.
Twin Oaks House and Garden:
236 Deer Springs Rd,
San Marcos, CA 92069
Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?
We have a hotel block at Fairfield Inn & Suites San Diego North/San Marcos for Saturday and Sunday night. We recommend staying at our hotel block Sunday night so you can stay for the send out, enjoy the open bar, and not worry about the long drive home.
Will food and drinks be served at the reception?
Appetizers, food, drinks, and dessert will be served at the reception. We will have vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options available upon request.
