What are my lodging options?
Option A: We have reserved hotel blocks at The Best Western and The Waterfront Lodge for July 17-20, 2025. Please see the Hotel Blocks page for more info.
Option B: There are plenty of other small hotels & airbnbs in the area but PLEASE BOOK YOUR ACCOMMODATIONS EARLY. Summer in the Adirondacks is busy. Places will be booked or become extremely pricey as summer approaches.
***You can find a list of more lodging options on the Travel page***
How do I get to Saranac Lake?
Traveling to Saranac Lake can be tricky. Here are 3 options to consider if you are traveling from out of state:
Boston Logan Airport has direct flights to Saranac Lake. These are 10 Seat planes and become expensive as they fill so BOOK EARLY if this is an appealing option.
From New York City: Amtrak from Penn Station to Albany Rensselaer station followed by a 3 hour drive North on I87.
Albany also has a major airport (3hr drive to Saranac Lake from there).
From Burlington VT, take the Lake Champlain Ferry to cross into Plattsburgh NY where it's a 45 minute drive from there.
Is there Uber/Lyft/ taxi?
The short answer is yes, but with limited availability. Plan to carpool when possible. Saranac Lake is a small town and is easily walkable if you are staying in town.
Will there be transportation to the wedding?
A shuttle will be available for those that need transportation to and from the wedding. Pickup will be from the Waterfront Lodge at 4:45pm and will depart from the farm after the reception ends at 11:45pm. We have space reserved for 56 persons and is available on a first come, first serve basis.
What is the weather like?
Plan for between 70-90 in the day but it can get as low as 50 at night. A light jacket or sweatshirt and possibly a rain jacket is advisable.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
Guests will have the opportunity to take photos during the cocktail hour and reception. Please leave the ceremony photos up to the professionals!
Can I bring my kids?
For the ceremony and reception we have limited our guest list to only include kids that are family members.
Some hotels may offer babysitting services for an additional fee, or may be able to recommend services in the area. Contact your hotel directly to inquire.
All are welcome to attend the welcome party on July 17.
What’s for dinner?
It’s no secret that we love pizza, so why would we complicate things? Our menu will feature pizzas with various toppings, a slider station, a salad bar, and Donelly’s Ice Cream, a local favorite, for dessert.
***Dairy and gluten free options will be available***
Will there be a band at the reception?
Pack your dancing shoes. We wouldn’t have it any other way!
