It all started in college when Briana occasionally attended parties at Sunrise in Marina, where Matt and many college roommates resided. At this point they only knew of each other, but as Matt will recall he had a crush on Briana as soon as he laid eyes on her, although she was in a committed relationship at this point in time and was forbidden to talk to her by many of their mutual friends.

Finally, Briana became single and Matt took the opportunity to ask Briana on a date, but before agreeing to go out with Matt she rejected him a few times... It wasn't until one night at Crown and Anchor with some friends did Matt put Briana on the spot in front of everyone and asked her out on a date where he knew she couldn't say no with the pressure of friends around. Their first date was in January at the Pacific Grove Farmer's Market and from there she was hooked!
