283 Days To Go!

It was summer 2019 when Briana and Matt connected on Hinge. The first thing that caught Briana's eye was that Matt went to UD - and from there she knew it was destined to be. Same age, same major, same mutual friends, but they didn’t know each other?! Couldn’t be… fast forward to March 2020 when the 2 had only been officially dating for a few weeks, when Covid happened. Briana quickly moved into Matt’s parents home for what she thought would be a few days. A few days turned into a few months and before you know it, it seemed as though they had been dating for years. A year later, Matt was packing up boxes from Briana’s Astoria apartment and the 2 were moving in together in north Jersey. Right before the move, Briana surprised Matt with putting a deposit down on a dog. Briana thought her actions may have ended their relationship, but luckily it did not as she secretly knew getting Bodhi was going to be the best thing that ever happened to them.

After living together for a few years with a dog, the couple realized they were ready for the next big thing. Briana was looking at engagement rings online daily, sending Matt beach proposal photos, and more. The couple had a trip planned to Aruba in October, and Briana kept hoping this would be the moment. Well, all those videos and pictures she shared with Matt paid off, because he exceeded in every aspect! He proposed to Briana privately on a quiet beach, and secretly hired a photographer who set up roses in the sand and captured every reaction. When they returned to the hotel to celebrate with Matt’s family, Briana’s parents surprised her. She was truly in shock and couldn’t believe they were there to celebrate and be part of the most special day. The couple was so ecstatic they could spend this moment celebrating with their parents together at the same place, it truly meant everything. They then got to enjoy the rest of their Aruba vacation celebrating what was one of the most special moments in their lives.
