Q + A

WHEN SHOULD I RSVP BY?

Please RSVP by June 19th!

How did the couple meet?

Through mutual friends, at a Zedz Dead (electronic music) show at the Aragon Ballroom in 2019.

How did the couple get engaged?

On December 21, 2024, their five year anniversary, Ken caught Briana off guard by telling her they were meeting family for lunch at Galati’s Hideaway in Cary. When they arrived they walked up stairs, covered in rose petals, to arrive at large double doors. At that point, Ken got down on one knee and asked B for her hand, as he did this the doors behind them swung open to reveal a large group of family and close friends waiting eagerly to celebrate the new engagement! Later that evening, Ken and B went to a Zedz Dead show to commemorate the night it all began. It was truly a beyond magical day from start to finish!

What is the lovely couple up to nowadays?

They are living in Ken’s hometown of Cary with their ever adorable pitty girl, Miss Caspa Rae. Ken is working at a factoring company in West Chicago and Briana just began her first year as an elementary art teacher! In their spare time they spend time with family, hangout with friends, watch an abundance of movies, snuggle caspa, and of course do LOTS OF WEDDING PLANNING!

How did the soon to be Schultz’s decide on The Farm at Dover?

After browsing a multitude of venues online, Ken and B decided on three places to go tour in person. The visits were scheduled one after another all in one day, even though they were quite far from one another. They decided to tackle this mission touring the farthest venue first and working their way back to the closest, which meant they saw The Farm at Dover first. When I say they both fell more in love with this gorgeous property with every passing moment of the tour, it is no exaggeration. The place just has an incredibly whimsical aura which felt rustic, vintage, and cozy in all the right ways. As they left, Ken’s immediate reaction was that they need not even look elsewhere. When you know, you really just know. They did honor their commitments to tour the other venues and those tours simply served to reaffirm what they already knew. They found the place they’d say I do.

Why July 31st?

Briana’s paternal grandparents, Kevin and the Late Leslie McManus (Poppy and Nana) were married on July 31, 1965. Unfortunately, B lost her Nana in 2008. However, her Poppy and Aunt Lianne carried out her Nana’s wishes of keeping with Irish tradition and passing down her wedding band for Briana to use as her own. The ring is engraved with the date of her Nana and Poppy’s wedding and the couple made the decision to keep the date to honor Briana’s late grandmother in a very sentimental way. They also plan to have her Nana’s band engraved with their date right below the original!
