If you are a wine lover, be sure to do a tasting at Kevin's favorite local winery! Grab a seat on the patio and take in some of the picture perfect views of downtown Spokane and the Spokane River. Maryhill is located in Kendall Yards, so is walking distance from downtown (and is right across from The Yards Bruncheon-Briana's favorite restaurant)
Take a walk around Gonzaga's campus and see where Briana went to college! Even though there won't be any basketball games going on, be sure to take a picture by the bronze bulldog statue next to The Kennel!
Manito Park has five gardens, a conservatory, and a duck pond that are toured by over 150,000 visitors each year.
The 90 acre park includes spacious manicured lawns, playgrounds, walking and biking paths, flowers, topiary shrubs, a greenhouse conservatory and multiple picturesque gardens.
Manito Park's large trees and well tended landscaping make for a great place to visit in Spokane.
*Briana and Kevin's Sunday Brunch will be located here from 10:30am-1:30pm at the Picnic Shelter.
Take a stroll around Spokane’s Riverfront Park. See the giant red wagon, garbage eating goat, clock tower, or ride the gondola over Spokane Falls. The park is a great place to spend an hour or two while escaping the hustle and bustle of the city.
30 minutes from Spokane is the picturesque town of Couer d'Alene. Enjoy the views of the lake, take a walk on Main Street, go for an easy hike of Tubb's Hill or grab a huckleberry milkshake at Paul Bunyan's (look for Babe the Blue Ox!).
Hands down the best food in Spokane (according to Kevin). The owner/head chef, Michael Wiley, is on top of his game. Kevin absolutely loves their beef short ribs!
At Yards Bruncheon, you’ll enjoy diner comfort food from all over. They use fresh ingredients from local farms and producers, prepared seasonally, in a very thoughtful way.
Briana is a big fan of breakfast foods, but not the early hours at which most places serve breakfast, so this is one of her favorite spots! They serve brunch all day! She highly recommends their huckleberry pancakes! They have indoor and outdoor seating and are conveniently located in Kendall Yards, just across the river from downtown Spokane.
If eating some of Spokane’s best seafood and steaks while enjoying the sights and sounds of the Spokane River tickle your fancy then this place is a must stop. Their rock salt roasted prime rib is to die for.
Another breakfast gem in Spokane! Briana loves that they offer the "Scandinavian Cake Plate", which is basically a breakfast sampler, including their trademark Aebelskivers. They have this location in Spokane Valley, as well as another location, Old European Breakfast, on the north side of Spokane.
If you like Indian food, we both highly recommend Mango Tree! This is our go to restaurant for celebratory events (due to Covid, we always get it to go).
Taste some local Washington wine while enjoying 4 acres of gorgeous grounds and amazing views of all of Spokane.
For some delicious Pacific Northwest Ice cream check out The Scoop! Grab a cone and stroll around Manito Park or visit their location in Kendall Yards and walk along the Centennial Trail.
The Milk Bottle is a Spokane staple. They've got burgers on homemade buns served with hand cut fries and their milkshakes and malts are made with their house made ice cream!
Who’s in the mood for a sandwich? If you like pickles then you must try The Big Dill! If pickles aren’t your thing, they have many other sandwiches to enjoy.
Spokane’s best breakfast is served in a train car. Breakfast is served all day. Can’t miss with the biscuits and gravy or the huckleberry pancakes!
If you have some extra free time or are driving over from Seattle, this is a must see! Located 10 minutes off of Interstate 90, and a modest 2 hour drive from downtown Spokane, is Briana and Kevin’s happy place. Cave B has it all. Fine wines, beautiful vineyards and views of the Columbia River Gorge. See if you can find the bench where Kevin and Briana shared their first kiss!
