How do I RSVP? When do I RSVP?
To RSVP, click the RSVP tab and enter the name(s) listed on the envelope. We would appreciate a response by June 1st, 2026. If you have any trouble, please contact one of us and we will be happy to help!
Where should I stay?
The Publick House offers beautiful rooms! Twenty rooms are blocked off for wedding guests the night of the wedding, and 10 rooms are blocked off for the night before. Once those rooms fill up, the Publick House may be able to add more to our block. Guests should make their reservation before the Room Block Release Date to secure accommodations with a credit card. The Room Block Release date for all weddings is 45 days prior to the wedding date, after which time all unreserved rooms in the block will be transferred into open inventory. There are a few rooms in each block from all 4 buildings. You can check out the room types by going to the Publick House website: https://publickhouse.com/accommodations/ or you can also call: (508) 347-3313
IMPORTANT: when you book a room, either on the website or over the phone, you will need to provide our group number, which is 0826OS . We recommend that you book rooms directly through the website or over the phone - if you use a third party booking site such as Expedia, you will not be able to enter the room code. If you don't book a room in time, not to worry! There are 128 rooms in total at the Publick House so depending on availability you may be able to book without the code. There are also cheaper options very close by: the Hampton Inn offers rooms (and it's just an 8-minute walk from the inn), as well as the Holiday Inn (a 20-minute walk and 3-minute drive), and there are several other hotels on Main Street in Sturbridge! Check out "Travel and Lodging" for more info about specific hotels as well as their contact information.
Where should I park?
At the church: There is a parking lot with a ramp entrance to the right of the front of the church (Union Street) and a parking lot behind the church (School Street). You can also park on Union Street in front of the church, and on School Street where signs permit!
At the reception: Drive slowly down the driveway straight ahead: follow the sign for the "Bake Shoppe." Turn left, and you will find lots of parking!! The reception will be located under a white tent and in a courtyard next to the main parking lot.
What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
We ask that you please arrive no later than 1:15pm.
Is there a dress code?
Formal
What can I expect during the ceremony?
Our ceremony is taking place at St. John, Guardian of Our Lady Catholic church during Mass. This link can tell you what to expect: https://www.catholicweddinghelp.com/topics/order-wedding-with-mass.htm
If I'm not Catholic, what should I do during Communion?
We understand that some of our guests might not be familiar with traditional Catholic values and practices -- no worries!! You may receive holy communion if all of the following apply to you: you are a baptized Catholic who has made his or her first Holy Communion, is not in the state of mortal sin, and has attended Confession in the last year. If you do not meet these exact requirements, you may enter the communion line with your arms crossed over your chest and receive a blessing from the priest over your forehead, or you may simply remain seated. Guests not able to receive Communion are welcome to choose whatever option they are most comfortable with. If you would like to learn more about the Catholic church's requirements for receiving communion, here are a couple of helpful links: https://www.catholic.com/qa/why-cant-non-catholics-receive-communion-0

Can I take photos?
We encourage you to take pictures at the reception, but please avoid taking pictures during the Mass. We hired a professional photographer, and will be happy to send links to the photos once they are ready :)
Can we bring our children?
Due to space and budget constraints, we have limited the children invited to those in our families. Lap infants are more than welcome. We appreciate your understanding!
Will the reception be outside?
Partially! If the weather permits, cocktail hour will be outside. Dinner and dancing will be in a large tent (with AC!). Restrooms are located directly next to the tent (multiple stalls).
What do you recommend doing in Boston?
If you've never been, it's fun to go to the Boston Common/Public Garden area! You could also visit the Boston Public Library, which is beautiful and historic, and if you want to do some shopping, there is the Prudential Center and Newbury Street in Back Bay! North End has amazing Italian food and ice cream and it's right on the ocean, so you can take a nice seaside walk. Another fun activity is walking the freedom trail which will take you around much of Boston's history including the state house, the Boston massacre site, Old Ironsides, and Bunker Hill. The whole trail is about 2.5 miles long! Boston also has a big music scene -- you might want to see an artist you like while you're here!
When will the reception end?
10:30pm.
