So, as many of you know, our love story is anything but conventional. Picture this: I’m on a bachelorette trip to Key West in August 2022, ready for a weekend of sailing, sun, and questionable decisions. I’m lugging my way-too-large suitcase onto the dock, probably tripping over my own feet, when out pops Jimmy’s hand to help. “Hey, I’m Jimmy,” he says. Spoiler alert: he was our captain for the weekend. And not just any captain—he was the captain of my heart. Which, let’s be real, is a little funny considering my name is Breezie... So, yeah, I was practically destined to fall for a guy who sails boats for a living.
We immediately hopped onto the boat, and Jimmy asked, “Wanna learn to sail?” Without skipping a beat, I’m like, “HECK yeah!” And just like that, the rest of our lives started sailing in the same direction. (I mean, if you're going to fall in love, might as well do it on a boat, right?)
By the end of that weekend, we were already planning our next adventure. Two weeks later, I’m in upstate New York meeting his family (pressure’s on, right?). Then, just a few weeks after that, we’re in Colorado, and Jimmy asks me to marry him on top of a mountaintop in Vail during the first snowfall in October. Yep, we were engaged within TWO months. And no, it didn’t freak me out at all—obviously we were soulmates, obviously.
By November, Jimmy had moved to South Carolina, and we were now working together. We started traveling with my dad’s company, living the dream, until—plot twist—we found out we were expecting Henley just days before Christmas. Wedding plans? Yeah, those got pushed to the side for a tiny human.
Fast forward to August 2023, and Henley makes his grand entrance. Life got hectic, but let’s be real—we wouldn’t trade it for the world. Finally, in October 2024, we said “I do” in the place it all started—off the coast of Key West, with Henley in tow, because we couldn't wait any longer. And while our world now revolves around our little human, we knew we still needed to celebrate us with the people who mean the most to us.
