It all started in Plattsburgh, NY at SUNY Plattsburgh where the start of the fall 2016 semester they met while Bri was volunteering for the Event Committee she ran at the opening weekend campus events. Anthony and Bri met and Anthony took a picture of Bri and her friend Taylor, which still hangs on their fridge to this day.

Anthony and Bri used to hang out by the Saranac River on the college campus, where Bri would do school work and Anthony would fish. They would hang out by the river often, and became good friends. Life happened and it wasn’t until five years later that Bri and Anthony reconnected and their flame brighter than ever ignited into a fire.

They started reconnecting February 22, 2021 and hung out and had their first date. They officially started dating March 11, 2021. Anthony lived in Fort Montgomery and Bri lived in Dundee, which were four hours from each other. They started taking turns driving back and forth. Bri would drive to Anthony one weekend, and Anthony would drive to Bri the next weekend. After six months, Bri moved in with Anthony and his cat, Willow in Fort Montgomery. They only lived there for a short time together as Anthony was offered a job at Green Lakes State Park, so began the trek to Syracuse where they bought their first home and started the new adventure together in February 2022.

In August 2024, they took a trip together to Plattsburgh for the BASS Master Tournament. All Bri wanted was the breakfast burrito from Rulf’s Orchard and for Anthony to get to see his favorite fishermen for the tournament, which turned out some of them were staying at our hotel, how neat!!

Little did Bri know that on August 8th after visiting the campus store to purchase some cool merch, they had planned to walk by the river where they used to hang out, and that is where Anthony would propose. Anthony pointed down the river and said “what is that” and as Bri (who we all know is silly and awkward) turned and squat down and in a Sasquatch like voice said “WHAT?!” She turned around puzzled, where Anthony was down on one knee and said “You wanna do this thing?” (A quote from one of their favorite series, New Girl) and Bri replied “Oh honey, I’ve always been yours!”

Bri was in shock so much she thought she might faint, and Anthony likes to say “it’s okay she didn’t cry because her body was for her” because she was sweating so badly from the adrenaline. LOLOL how embarrassing, and here I am telling the story!

So began their newest chapter as Fiancés!!!

And we cannot forget in January 2025, they adopted a second cat, their seven year old Fabian!!

Oh yeah, and there were a lot of invisible strings throughout their lives that pointed them toward each other, like growing up Bri and her parents would be on Huggins Road in Bradford, NY hanging out with their friend Mike and all the while Anthony and his parents would be on that SAME road at their family members lake house. And then in college, Bri was friends with Anthony’s friends and lived on the same floor as them starting in 2014, but didn’t meet Anthony, somehow their paths didn’t cross yet. Even one day in April 2016, they were hiking the same mountains at the same exact time, Bri with her friend and Anthony with his, and Bri ran into the mutual friends Anthony was hiking with, but Anthony was ahead of them so they still hadn’t met yet. Bri knows they met exactly when they were supposed to to start their spark. Life led them to each other over and over again!!
