It all started with a message…but not from Samson. His sister, Rachel, was the one who reached out to me first. She told me that her brother had seen a picture of me and was curious to know more. She wasted no time giving me his number but I’ll admit, I was nervous to make the first move.

Thankfully, a few days later, Samson broke the silence and sent a message introducing himself. After days of chatting and smiling at our phones, we knew it was time for our first date. Our first date happened on a cold December morning. I had suggested we meet at First Watch, but Samson insisted on picking me up. Little did he know, that meant meeting my parents before our very first date. Talk about diving head-first! But somehow, he handled it with calm confidence. As if meeting your date's parents before pancakes was totally normal. Our first date was full of laughter, blissful conversations, and the kind of spark that made us know this was the beginning of something special. One date led to another, and soon, our story began to write itself.

Together, we've created countless memories and a love that grew deeper with every passing day. Samson knew he wanted our story to last forever, so with a hopeful heart, he asked my parents for their blessing. Though the moment was bittersweet for my parents, they knew he was the one meant for me and gave him their blessing. Then in March of 2025, Samson got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Without a second thought, I said YES! Now we’re counting down the days until we get to celebrate with the people we love most and officially begin the next chapter of the story that started with a single message.
