The first time we met is our favorite story.

Jake's brother Braeden joined the Menominee Red Wave Baseball team due to Marinette Legion Baseball didn't have a team because of Covid. One of my co-workers asked me if I want to go with her to Gladstone, Michigan to watch her son play baseball that day. I said yes, because I was orginally suppose to be in Florida visiting my best friend Dakota. When we got to the baseball fields my co-worker parked right next to Jake and his family. When we got out of the car my co-worker said hi to the family and right away Jake's dad Shawn offered my co-worker a beer and myself a water because he thought I was way younger then I actually was. Jake thought I was there watching my co-workers son because he thought I was dating him. I said something while talking to him which made Jake ask me the question "What year did you graduate?" I said "2015." Then he realized I was older than what I actually looked. When my co-worker and I left the baseball field after the game was done and she said to me, "I can see him trying to find you on social media." I told her, no he won't. When we sat down to eat dinner my phone went off and said "Jake McMahon would like to follow you on insta." I looked at my co-worker and asked if this was him. She said "YES!"

The rest is history.
