Bri and Sean met in early high-school through drivers training and mutual friends. Sean tends to remember a lot more than Bri does during those times, and every story he shares makes him sound like a good friend and gentleman. That is probably one of the biggest reasons Bri has always felt safe around him.

Fast forward to college, Bri and Sean stayed in touch and still remained good friends. Sean went to visit Bri one time at her place at CMU, but due to different interests (Sean being a quiet gamer and Bri a social drinking butterfly) they fell out of communication for a bit and had their own journeys.

Toward the end of college mutual interests in music and movies had got Bri and Sean talking again, and when Bri moved home Sean asked her to hang out. Although Bri likes to tease Sean for always having a crush on her, she is glad he made a move during those first few hang outs. They have both been smitten with each other ever since ❤️

With each other by their side, they have navigated through their 20s and into their 30s. From their first apartment with friends, to living with parents, they had survived it all together. Sharing common interests in music, nerdy things, life values and their pup Kai they had grown their love, respect and understanding of each other everyday.

Having that partnership, Sean had built up the courage to ask for Bri's hand in marriage. It was on their 6 year anniversary, they planned a trip to Oscoda for a relaxing weekend away with Kai. Having found the perfect ring and location to propose Sean felt confident that it would go perfectly, oh was he mistaken. He was riddled with joy and anxiety all day waiting for that moment. Sean initially wanted to propose on a nature walk, but that fell through when the path they took was unexpectedly over grown. The backup location was a beautiful pier over looking Lake Huron. Halfway down the pier Sean goes to reach for the ring and use Kai as a decoy to get Bri's attention, when a large group of people come up the pier at the same time. Having thought it would be too crowded he had to improvise. He notices a small secluded beach off to the side and navigates his soon to be fiancé and Kai over in its direction. Still using Kai to get Bri's attention, Sean got on one knee and gave his speech. Initially stuttering through the first couple words, he was instantly calmed when he saw Bri smiling with pure love in her eyes. A loving yes and a kiss sealed the deal, people who could see from the pier gave their congratulations. Kai overwhelmed with excitement ran circles around the newly engaged couple wrapping them up with his leash making the moment that much more memorable.
