WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS FOR DINNER?
***BOTH MEALS ARE SMALLER THAN THEY WILL APPEAR ON THE ACTUAL DAY- THEY ARE SMALLER DUE TO IT BEING THE PORTION SIZE FOR THE TASTING!
~ Option 1: Red snapper in vanilla sauce, sweet potato puree scented with a hint of vanilla and cinnamon (Bri's favorite!)
~ Option 2: Roasted beef with local oregano pesto, garlic, and lemon with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables (Nathans choice- but it was close!)
~~PICTURES FOUND BELOW- red snapper is first photo, roasted beef is the photo below.
Travel
When should I book my flights?
We recommend booking your flights as early as possible to get the best prices. Aim to book at least 6–9 months in advance for the best deals.
Which airport should I fly into?
Cancún International Airport (CUN) is the closest airport to our wedding venue and hotel.
How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
We may arrange a group shuttle—details to come!
Do I need a passport?
Yes! A valid passport is required for travel to Mexico. Please check your passport’s expiration date and renew it if necessary.
What should I expect at customs in Cancún Airport?
Upon arrival, you will go through immigration, where your passport will be checked. This line can look long and troublesome, but it has never taken longer that 25 minutes for us. Most important tip- get in ANY line as quick as you can! We waisted the most time looking for the "shortest" line. Just pick a line, and it moves quicker than you think!
Hotel & Accommodations
Where is everyone staying?
Our guests will be staying at Royalton Riviera Cancun, an all-inclusive resort.
How do I book my stay?
We have a room block at Royalton Riviera Cancun. Booking details will be provided, including a link to secure your reservation.
What’s included at the hotel?
The resort is all-inclusive, meaning your food, drinks, and entertainment are covered! Additional services, such as spa treatments and excursions, are available for an extra cost.
Should I download the resort’s app?
Yes! The Royalton Riviera Cancun app is a great tool for making dining reservations, checking out daily activities, and accessing resort information during your stay. The app is called Royalton Resorts, and you are staying at Royalton Riviera (not Royalton Splash, that is a resort slightly down the road but is separate from ours)
What is the check-in/check-out time?
Check-in is at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 12:00 PM.
Is there a dress code at the resort?
Resort restaurants may have specific dress codes (e.g., no swimwear in dining areas). Check with the hotel for details.
When do I need to book my hotel room?
We recommend booking your hotel room as soon as possible, as our reserved room block is available on a first-come, first-served basis. We have secured a discounted rate for our guests, so reserving early ensures you get the best price. You do not need to pay the full amount upfront—only a deposit is required at the time of booking. The final cutoff date for booking is December 14th, 2025, but rooms may sell out before then.
How many nights do I need to book?
The group rate requires a minimum stay of 3 nights from February 13-16, 2026.
What is the average room price per person?
Room rates vary based on occupancy and room type, but the average cost per person per night is approximately $232-$265 for double occupancy. This price includes unlimited food, drinks (yes, even cocktails!), and your stay at a luxury all-inclusive resort—making it an incredible deal for a vacation and celebration all in one! Additional details will be provided in the booking link.
Wedding Day
When and where is the wedding?
Our wedding will take place on February 14, 2026, at Jardin del Mar, located next to the Royalton Riviera Cancun.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony to ensure you’re seated in time.
What should I wear?
The wedding will be outdoors, so dress comfortably for the weather. Formal or semi-formal beach attire is recommended (think flowy dresses, linen suits, and comfortable shoes).
Will transportation be provided to the wedding venue?
Since Jardin del Mar is next to the Royalton Riviera Cancun, guests can walk over. We will also have a shuttle that brings you from the front of the resort, to the front of Jadin Del Mar, for those who do not feel like walking along the beach. We have recorded the walk and it takes about 3 minutes to walk there on the beach. More details will be shared closer to the date.
Is the wedding kid-friendly?
Yes! Children are welcome at the wedding.
What will the weather be like?
February in Cancun is warm and pleasant, with temperatures around 75-85°F (24-29°C). Evenings can be breezy, so consider bringing a light wrap or jacket.
Local Tips & Additional Info
Is there anything I should know about money and tipping?
The local currency is the Mexican Peso, but US dollars are widely accepted. The resort is all-inclusive, but tipping is appreciated for exceptional service (small bills in USD or Pesos work well). We traveled to this resort in 2024, and we brought $100 in $1 bills (American dollars). We went through about $60 tipping for a five day stay!
Can I drink the tap water?
No. It’s best to stick to bottled or filtered water to avoid any stomach issues.
Who can I contact if I have questions?
Feel free to reach out to us directly with any questions—we’re happy to help!
