This great story begins in Nashville, Ga. where Dewayne just so happened to show up to a house party I was attending.... in his patrol car and full uniform. Of course, I thought he was there to break up a good time - admittedly, the music was pretty loud. Little did I know, he only showed up to see a, now, mutual friend who also worked in law enforcement - whew, what a relief, no one was going to be in trouble!

Once I realized that we were in the clear and that he was only there to see a friend, I worked up the courage to go speak to him. That courage led to a 3-hour conversation and an exchange of phone numbers. From that moment on, Dewayne and I talked every hour of every day. I had finally found my person - the man that I have prayed for and knew I was going to spend the rest of my life with. Now, 3 years later, we are getting married!! We can not wait to see what the future has to offer and the blessings that will come.
