Yes, both the ceremony and reception are being held at Abella Weddings and Events. The address to Abella is 11720 256th Street, Chisago City, MN 55013.

The ceremony will be held at The Willows, which is a 3 acre field surrounded by trees. As long as the weather permits, we’ll be getting married outside. There is a backup option for an indoor ceremony, but we plan on being outside! Cocktail hour will be a combination of inside the Historic Barn and outside on the patio. The reception will be held inside the French Country Hall.

Although the ceremony begins at 3:30, please arrive BY 3:00, the earlier the better! The ceremony will take place at The Willows. (See below for a map of Abella.) There will be one trolley that can take guests to and from The Willows. The trolley can seat 25 people at a time and takes about 4 minutes one way. The patio provides a great place for guests to mingle while waiting for the trolley! Walking is also an option if you prefer, it takes about 7 minutes one way.

Everyone knows this time of year in Minnesota can be unpredictable, so prepare for anything! We will monitor the weather as we get closer to our wedding date. But for now, the temperature on October 6th typically ranges from 46 degrees to 60 degrees. The temperature is rarely below 35 degrees or above 75 degrees.

Yes! We have two hotel options for you, AmeriVu Inn & Suites-Chisago City and Country Inn & Suites by Radisson-Forest Lake. AmeriVu is about a 10 minute (4.8 miles) drive from Abella, and Country Inn is about a 14 minute (9.9 miles) drive from Abella. Kindly refer to the Travel section for details on discounts and website links for both hotels. We will be staying at the AmeriVu Inn & Suites-Chisago City! We’d love for our friends and family to join us there, but feel free to stay wherever you would like! We are also reaching out to AmeriVu Inn regarding early check-ins for guests staying there.

Yes! We will be providing transportation to and from Abella from AmericVu Inn & Suites in Chisago City. The shuttle will pick up guests from AmeriVu Inn prior to the ceremony, at 2:15pm and 2:30pm, and then do a round of drop offs at the end of the night, going from 9:30pm-12:00am.

Please do, but just not during the actual ceremony. We are trying to be mindful of our photographers, as they are going to be working hard at capturing our big day. Please don’t block any important moments from them with your electronic device. Feel free to share any photos or videos with us!

We are registered at Target and Amazon. Please refer to the Registry section if you wish to gift us with something. We truly appreciate it!

Yes, be ready to start the party right away!

There is a parking lot to the left when you enter the venue driveway. Please see the overview of Abella Weddings & Events below. A parking attendant will be there to assist you in finding a parking spot. Handicap parking is available. THERE IS NO OVERNIGHT PARKING! You cannot leave your vehicle on the property overnight.
